Beaten by a Georgia squad after having no bye week and get sent to the peach bowl.
The SEC doesn't control who the Cap1, Outback, and Cotton Bowls INVITE. Those bowls wanted somebody else and not LSU.

Further proof a Bama grad in Birmingham is making the SEC schedules.

The SEC lobbied against LSU in 2012.

If this is really about how they want to keep tradition then the game should be played at a "neutral" site in Houston. Since they played Texas at the Cotton Bowl.

Well you're a moron if you don't think the SEC has major influence on what teams go where.

Thanksgiving Day is for NFL football. It'll suck to go head to head with an NFL game at the same time now. Hey Slive!

It has never been the only game on Black Friday.

You're right, it wasn't the only game that day. such sure fire ratings bonanza's like Cincinnati vs So Fla and Kent State v Ohio are much stiffer competition than the NF Freaking L. The only other notable games on at any point Friday last year was Iowa - Neb and Az-ASU.

The SEC was trying to tell the bowls which teams to take in December 2012.. the bowl ultimately ended up following suit.

Dude stop it.......A&M never played Texas at the Cotton Bowl. You're getting it confused with the annual Texas-Oklahoma game played there.

They were posted months ago. I remember them because they surprised me so much. LSU-Arky got like 3 points higher than the Thanksgiving night game

I didn't see them. Do you remember if it was several years or one specifically? How do we know it was the time slot and not the matchup that was the difference?

I understand the NFL has a game on at that time, but I don't get where all the talk about our Friday game being the "only game on" always comes from.

LSU gets the short stick every time and its complete bullshite.

Everyone's "traditions" Re respected except for lsu's

Surprised Lsu still gets to wear white home jerseys with the clowns running this show.

We should be in the SEC championship game easily next year if Jennings is good as advertised
