Don't think ESPN didn't have some influence on putting a marquee game on Thanksgiving night too. They don't want the Egg bowl there that's for sure

They have Texas who is playing a Thanksgiving Night game every year and the NFL is playing a game at the same time. It will be a ratings grave yard, much worse I'd bet than Black Friday at 1, when its the only game on.

It's wayyyy worse. Someone pulled the ratings a while back and the LSU-Arky 130 game stomped the Thanksgiving night college game.

This is the part that gets me. Well it's our fricking wishes that we play SEC games at night, but those assholes sure don't bend over backwards to accommodate us.

Happened to SC a couple of years ago I believe.

I stand corrected. However, USCe was 8-4 coming out of the SEC CG and tied for 5th best record in the SEC. 2005 LSU was 10-2 and tie for the BEST record in the SEC. 2005 LSU beat : Alabama, Auburn and Florida and had a better record that all 3, but all 3 got better bowls.

Posted by Choupique19 You think they would do this to Bama?
You're implying that playing on Thanksgiving or a non-Saturday is inherently bad. It isn't. So I have no reason to care if they'd do this to a school you're obsessed with.

Doesn't matter.

It has never been the only game on Black Friday.

Again, Saturday is obviously preferred....but just from an exposure perspective Thanksgiving night is much better than Friday afternoon imo.

Nobody did anything wrong to LSU. Quit being a narcissist.

If this is really about how they want to keep tradition then the game should be played at a "neutral" site in Houston. Since they played Texas at the Cotton Bowl.

It's not a grand conspiracy or as bad as he is making it, but to say LSU hasn't been given the short end of the stick is being dishonest.

They were posted months ago. I remember them because they surprised me so much. LSU-Arky got like 3 points higher than the Thanksgiving night game.

Actually yes, LSU was fricked in 2005 by the SEC.

Beat Florid, Auburn, Bama in the same year with a loss in OT to Tennessee.

Beaten by a Georgia squad after having no bye week and get sent to the peach bowl.

That was the most insult to injury post season bullshite I've ever seen.

Does LSU get fewer votes than the others?

Right, competing with the NFL

The ratings disagree with your statement

The SEC schedule will be for 2014 only. The SEC is still working on creating a long-term scheduling format, which means LSU may not necessarily play Kentucky in 2015.

Further proof idiots are making the schedule
