Didn't realize JJ was in this draft as well, Texans probably are adding him to their list of qbs for the #1 pick

A lot of butt hurt people still running to make fun of JJ. He wasn't an all conference QB...we get it. But he was a tiger until the end and now he is trying to make something of his life. Get over it people.

Wow, Jordan Jefferson is probably not doing himself any favors throwing the football at the same time as Mettenberger.

In comparison, Mett's mechanics and arm strength make JJ look like a high schooler who's never had a QB coach.

ETA:

Good luck to them all however. Hope Richard Murphy catches on again somewhere, I always liked that dude.

ETA: I respect and appreciate the guys efforts as a Tiger, but he has to be honest with himself at some point and realize he will not be making an NFL roster. That is not being an arse, that is just fact. He couldn't cut it in arena ball, so what makes him think an NFL team will sign him? Just trying to be real and if that means I'm a hater, so be it. Stop pumping sunshine and start growing the eff up.

amen, dude was all LSU. He even encouraged his brother to sign with LSU despite of how a portion of the fan base treated him.

Says the guy who posted three laughing emoticons at the mere idea of a former LSU player participating in our Pro Day. You haven't brought anything new or fresh to the table, you just come off as an a-hole. But if mocking a former 4-year player that helped convince his younger brother to come to LSU after all the shite our fans gave him really makes you feel better, have at it, hoss.

If Jordan Jefferson did impress someone and generate interest, would he be eligible to be drafted or would a team just have to sign him as a free agent?

The film and reports from this pro day workout will filter down to all levels of pro football. No, he is not going to make a NFL roster, but he may get another shot in the Arena league or CFL out of it.

I understand JJ can make other leagues, but he already bombed out of both the CFL and Arena Leagues. After that, there is not much left to go to, besides the real working world. I just cannot stand how people throw the "hater" word around when all I am doing is laughing at the fact he still thinks in his mind he can play pro football. He has been out of the game how long? He was released by how many teams in how many leagues? With a competitive industry like football, where thousands of guys are chomping at the bit for few precious jobs every year, I just do not see JJ making any team. Again, call me a hater. I respect him for what he did at LSU, but he will not be making any team. We all have to grow up at some point.

ETA: I'm laughing at the fact we are 3 years removed from his college career and he is still going to a pro day. Give the young guys their time and chance to show their skills. He already had his attempt and did not make it. Time to move on.

I don't know that anyone but you has said "hater". And is it really that ridiculous to think he could make a roster in some form in some professional league? Scout team, backup, 3rd string? It's not.

Played Arena Ball last year.

Nah, that's your word.

You mean "grow up" as in "graduate next month"? Like Jefferson is doing?

Jesus christ. It's not like he is putting all his eggs in this one basket hoping for another shot. He is taking classes and working towards his degree. Why not go out there and see if a team likes you. What is there to lose? Some of you will stop at nothing to shite on JJ. He didn't perform well when it counted most, but some of you hold Miles' decision not to go to Lee against JJ. What was he supposed to do, take himself out the game? People need to get over it and stop shitting on a player, much less one who has a brother currently on the team.

If he bombed out of the NFL, CFL, and Arena League, what makes you think he will make it this year? Again, hundreds of new QBs fresh off their college careers are bidding for the same jobs now. It is a brutal and tough industry. Just being realistic here.

WTF does it matter? Is he somehow hurting anyone by participating in pro day. My god you are an idiot.

Maybe he's changed his attitude, worked his arse off to improve, etc.? You don't know dick. You just wanted to rip on a former player because you're a bitter little man. Who the hell are you to tell him he shouldn't work out in front of pro scouts for an opportunity to make a roster, be it in the NFL, CFL or Arena League?

No. You're just being an a-hole. You've gone way past "being realistic". You've mocked him for even trying and, worst of all, you've mocked him for getting his degree in a manner that isn't timely enough for your taste. Do us all a favor and go frick yourself.

It is not hurting anyone. For what it is worth, I whole heartedly respect the heck out him for still supporting LSU no matter the situation. He and Shep both got crapped on but have always repped LSU. But I do not understand why you guys get so bent out of shape over a realistic and honest take on him going through a pro day this far removed from his college days. I love my Tigers as much as the next guy but if you cant be realistic, please head to the OT for some BS.

Lee recently signed with the B.C. Lions.

You never know.

You can be honest about a situation and not blatantly mock and rip on a player for not only working out on a pro-day, but for getting his degree.
