Who do we like and who we might get?
Chris Del Conte. Excellent credentials and success at TCU. Hired 5 different COY winners at 5 different sports.
Dan Radakovich. Would he leave Clemson now to come back to LSU?
Those are my 1a and 1b - open up the checkbook.

Because we tried it with a shoe salesman and it was a fricking disaster.
We are LSU - we can afford to hire someone who is a proven, successful athletic director at another institution. We should throw money at the best one available and make him come here. Not hire the first guy willing to take the least you can get away with paying. That's not the path to excellence, IMHO.

Les Miles.
He's funny and entertaining and would be a good fundraiser. If the O experiment really goes south, he'll be viewed a lot more favorably. And we would be paying him to do something instead of paying him to do nothing.
