They are our new starting defense ends which one has the most upside to becoming a dominant all Sec player. Does the rant believe that they can become better than Rasco & Hunter last year? Thoughts, opinions....

Idk about potential but our DEs will be better now that Chavis and Haley are gone. Steele and Orgeron want to unleash our guys into the offensive backfield instead of playing scared.

I think Bower has more potential and will have a slightly better season.
And i could honestly see Arden Key sharing a lot of time with Neal.
Key will be a stud.

Neal is a ball of muscle and Bower has some athleticism for his size.
Two different styles of attack.

I could see Neal exploding this year. Bower is a somewhat known commodity and he should be very good this year, but Neal could really break out. This D line could really be special.

Sione looked really good in limited play, last year, and was expecting him to break out...Neal is very strong, and with his arm length and center of gravity, he could be a hard match-up for anyone..Sione's game is speed, and might be a third down guy..

I think Neal is gonna be really good. IMO, he will lead the team in sacks and TFL.
Coach O loves Neal. Said he can be a Trent Cole type of player. He's extremely strong (played DT last year at 250lbs so that tells you the type of strength he has), explosive, and relentless.
Think he becomes 1 of our best defensive players.
He is coming.

There is no way Key will see major playing time in his first year, except maybe in obvious passing downs. what does he weigh, 230 pounds soaking wet?

i've always been a bower fan.
i fee like rasco was banged up (or 'knicked' as miles would say) his whole time here which sucks because he was one of my favorite recruits ever. it was cool how they did that behind the scenes look at his recruitment. if yaw yaw had gotten ahold of hunter he'd have definitely looked the part on the field.

Nothing against Bower, but I think Neal will be a pleasant surprise this season.

Ever heard of an OLB in a 3-4 set that is a speed rushing specialist?

Rasco and Hunter didn't set a high bar for pass rushing last year (I blame scheme more than anything) but were both great against the run after the Auburn game. I can easily see our DE's playing better this year. Lac and Godchaux will probably be occupying most of the blockers.

I think between the two of them, Neal plays the strongside and Bower plays the weakside. So that would mean Bain and Clarke would backup Neal, and Teuhema and Key would backup Bower. Washington could play either side and I think they moved MJ Patterson to OLB.

Do not forget about Clark. I thought he played well for a true fresh.
