Well, he may need help to deal with the Saban thing as you say, but I don't. Nick left LSU for the pros and not Bama. Perhaps you need to deal with that.
As to the letter, there is never a good excuse for poor sportsmanship. If the behavior was that bad, someone needed to step in.
Having said that, let me add that it would be a cold day in hell before I would bring my 8 yr old to Tiger stadium to watch her brother play and allow a fan of a visiting team to act so badly that he bought her to tears and have my response to be write a freaking letter to anyone.

I call BS on the letter...I believe someone wrote a similar letter last year and it was proved to be BS also...We (LSU) fans maybe passionate but I do not believe anyone of our fans would make an 8 yr old girl cry...LSU fans or SEC fans in general are wild and crazy about their football, also, I have seen some crazy stuff at pro football stadiums around the country...There are bad apples everywhere...But, I believe the article is BS...

Wow thats quite a letter from an ATTORNEY.
First of all lady no one gives a frick what your occupation is. Secondly it says the fan was arguing calls, man that is just not acceptable.

Nick left LSU for the pros and not Bama.
it's that he said he wasnt leaving and then left very late (Christmas Eve I believe). It put LSU in a very difficult spot to find a new head coach since so many of the available "free agent" coaches had taken other positions
we were fortunate to get a quality coach

Somebody needs to verify this.
It sounds a lot like the Texas mom's letter from the CWS.
Also as a lawyer, I would never sign a letter like that, and almost everyone in the legal profession uses the term attorney. (Lawyer is not a "lawyer word" we use attorney or counsel almost always in writing.)
This letter look like BS to me.

First, of all, I am perfectly happy that Saban is not our coach. He was/is an arse. He did what we needed him to do - jump start our program and win us a NC.
Second, this fan should have been dealt with at the game. The family could have complained to the ushers and had the fan reprimanded. A letter to Baton Rouge about one fan doesn't do much. I guess maybe it made their family feel better to complain about ONE fan when there were many fans there who obviously showed sportsmanship.
