I stopped reading at "arenas". Lost all credibility to me right there. I don't care if it is grammatically correct.

Fire the fricking coach and don't hire a moron that has a website dedicated to his own retarded fricking quotes would be my advice, Alleva.

My take on the booing:
I think that, to an extent, it's just one more incremental step for some groups of fans that want it to be all about them. It's kind of like how certain officiating crews in some sports want the games they call to be about them.
To me, this is kind of part of the same trajectory that saw vulgar words from the fans which resulted, if I'm not mistaken, in some well loved songs and cheers being banned. And part of the same trajectory that saw people make a big show of getting opposing player's cell phone numbers.
It's clear that these groups of fans want noteriety and want to be noticed for their antics. But it all comes across as staged somehow. Ironically, through the years when the Tiger Stadium crowd did get great compliments and people spoke highly of the atmosphere, it seemed much more spontaneous and from the heart. Just a kind of wall of noise raised in support of the boys on the field who everyone recognized were the real reason everyone was there.
I will say that from watching the game last Saturday, a lot of the booing seemed to be pretty spontaneous (and perhaps was prompted in part by the incicdent where JL had his helmet on and was sent back to the sideline). So I didn't really think it was that bad.
Now, though with the boos getting media and administration responses, it looks like some might be conidering it as garnering the attention they crave. People seem to be making plans to boo and trying to hatch clever ways of embarassing the coach on the call in show. That stuff just smacks of people looking to have their egos boosted.

Keep up your excellent work because word has it here in Alabama that Saban and Coach Cheese Nip are using the fans booing as a motivational tool to recruit some of Louisiana's top players. I heard that Saban asking them why would they want to play for a school that doesn't appreciate their talents.
Yes, and everyone can clearly see that Saban and the Tide faithful would be fine with similar offensive production. Even a football recruit isn't that stupid.

Totally agree....he should send one to Gary while he's at it, it would say: "when you two aren't in the top 100 in the nation in offense with the best talent out there, it affects the morale of our players, it reflects poorly on our reputation, and delivers a negative message to recruits. if you two cant/dont fix this, you should start looking for a new arena to coach in next season."

Something I was thinking about. People keep refering to recruits probably not liking the booing, but do you think they can't see the horror of an offense that is being booed? And if realizing that, they are still not mentally tough enough to take on the challenge, do we really want those kids playing big games in the most cut throat conference there is?

Dear Tiger Fans, Tiger Stadium is known as one of the most intimidating arenas for opposing teams in the sporting world, a reputation that has been well-earned because of the passion of our fans. Tiger Stadium is at its best when it roars as one voice in support of the Tigers. But when some among the crowd are vocally disapproving of our own players or coaches, it is detrimental on many levels. It impacts the morale of the players, it reflects poorly on our reputation, it sends a poor message of sportsmanship to the young people in the crowd and it delivers a negative message to recruits in attendance. As the Tigers play on national television against Tennessee on Saturday afternoon, I hope the Tiger Nation will be at its best. The crowd at Tiger Stadium is the best 12th man in all of college football, and in the highly-competitive Southeastern Conference, our Tigers need every ounce of support. We are 4-0 and ranked as high as No. 10 in the nation and we are heading in to the most challenging portion of our schedule. Let's keep the momentum going. Geaux Tigers,
Joe Alleva
Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics

I don't worry about recruits. If you win, the recruits will come. And we won't win shite with this shitty offense. So boo it off the field until its fixed.

Or they could just be pissed that the offense can't continue a drive or make the most of great field position. Wait that's too simple...
If you want to see orchestrated crowd response, watch a Duke basketball game.

I agree with the fact that winning takes care of recruiting, especially in LA. But I think fans tend to boo in games because it is impossible to voice their opinions about Miles (to anyone of relevance) any other way. Not buying tickets to affect to bottom line is useless with the size of the fan base and the amount of money in the program, and call-in shows filter out everyone.

Rather than booing, maybe we need to send an open letter to Joe so he understands it's not the players receiving the boos, it's Miles.
horseshite. Its impossible to distinguish between the two, and many are booing JJ.

we were actually booing the west virginia fans for making our QB look that bad and shame on LM for waiting till JJ looked pitiful before taking him out. Should have let him watch a series in the first half and the second as well.
