The team only has 2 INTs and 4 PDs by DBs.

Jalen Collins will be gone to the NFL after this year, wouldn't that bother you if he were on the sidelines instead?

Fact is that we have three legitimate #1/#2 corners, one of them was gonna get the short end of the stick this year in terms of playing time. (None of that includes Dwayne Thomas, who has the nickel spot on lock, IMO. Even if Robinson is a better DB overall than Thomas, I would prefer Thomas keep his particular role because I think he's better suited for it.)

Pretty sure White, Collins and Robinson had a rotation going with each playing a couple of series then sitting one out. ULM didn't really try to pass on any of the three so it wasn't really noticeable.

If you can't tell that White is our best corner, then you haven't been paying attention to the games.

Robinson only has 1 tackle and 2 assisted tackles in three games.

If you see a cb with a lot of tackles it usually means that that cb has been giving up completions and make the tackle or that the opposing team's rb is making it passed the first level of defense.
Just like you don't want your lbs to be leading the conference in tackles because that means your defense isn't getting off the field and letting the lb have more defensive snaps to rack up stats

Collins in the top 2 rounds, Mills in the top 4 rounds,

Got your Jalens mixed up. Mills goes first. He and White are our top DBs. Rashad is probably third if his head is straight, but Collins is a sure fire pro imo.

He wasnt really a straight up cb at lsu. He played the rover position that is basically an undersized LB position that can cover the slot while also playing the run.he was our nickel cb too but he made the bulk of his tackles inside or just outside the hash marks.

White is probably the best football player on the team, period...

He is possibly our best shutdown corner

J. Collins has played light out through 3 games and has done NOTHING to suggest he should not be on the field.

Robinson messed up with she off the field issues and got suspended. Other guy stepped up and put a chokehold on the CB spot opposite WHite.

Good for Collins.

Ok so at what point do we see Robinson take over for Collins? Only when the opposition has a 6'4 WR?

ISn't Collins like 6'2 himself?

But how typical of LSU fans.

A guy is playing incredible ball through 3 games and fans are bitching because the backup isn't starting.

As long as Colins keeps playing like he has thus far, I could give a damn how production RR has.

Chavis has always played a rotation at all spots on the defense. In terms of stats, the best corners are not getting thrown at often. The 3rd CB will be very close in total snaps as the the 2nd one. RR doesn't have to wait for an injury to play, he will play significant snaps as will Collins unless hurt or off field troubles. This will happen whether it is N M ST or Bama/Aub, etc. When the game is live it is easy to get fixated on the ball...I do this as well...then go back and watch the replay and watch the defense not the ball....pick any game or year and at minimum you will see 25 plus defenders in nail biters and 30 to 40 in blow outs.

Like this thread, using tackles to measure a corner's productivity is dumb.

OK THEN ZERO pass breakups and ZERO INTs

No stats are good stats for CBs.

RR has a reputation with opposing offenses as well. QBs dont throw his way very often
