LSU is 6-3 overall and 6-2 in SEC since SEC play began.

LSU lost @UF who just beat the #9 team in the nation. LSU lost by 6 points on a ref job that shouldn't count as a loss, but I'll digress.
LSU lost @TAMU, #5 team in the nation that just beat the #14 team in the nation to solidify their Top 5 or so ranking.
LSU lost v.OU, the #1 in the nation by 2 points.

^^^ this is what drives the disdain of so-called LSU basketball fans. Head scratching.

Yea its a shame we couldn't have our full team the whole season. It would knock back some of this doom a gloom guys. But it is what it is. Just hope we can keep it together after this. Sec champs is a possibility for us.

ISU win easily makes up for them. That's why I included the "or so". They'll be Top 8 for sure.

But does that really matter? LSU has lost to the #1 team and the #5-8 team?

You think they're not going to be top 5 when the polls come out? How far you think they'll drop?

We beat crap teams (sometimes) and lose to good teams....that's your point?

Save for Kentucky, this team hasn't beaten anyone of note. Which is mind boggling considering how talented we are. This team should be MUCH better than it is playing right now.

We were the better team today against OU. Problem is, LSU got out couched down the stretch. That and Simmons HAS to learn to take over games. We can't rely on Qman to carry this team both emotionally and through his play when we play these big time opponents.

On the opposite side, we watched Buddy getting onto his teammates for screwing up and getting them back into the game. He single-handedly took the game over and helped OU overcome that deficit.

That's what a super talented SENIOR can do. That's why he's the Wooden award winner. That's why he's the best pure shooter in the nation. I still can remember him 3 years ago as a struggling freshman with a semi nice shot, who couldn't play D

And like I stated in the thread I started last night........
THIS PLACE IS PATHETIC

So now we are going to just forget that we destroyed a top 25 Kentucky team to try and make a point that LSU sucks. That is pathetic.

If you can't tell that this team is better since Hornsby and Victor have started playing then I can't help your dumbass. Since the return of our whole lineup we have lost one game that we should have won and that was to Wake Forest at home.

So what was it? Did we get out "couched" or did Buddy win the game on his own? You can't have it both ways. One argument falsifies the other.

The truth is both teams played good down the stretch. Blakeney hit shots that kept us in it. But Oklahoma is the number one team for a reason and they made big shots down the stretch. And it wasn't just Buddy.

the positive is winning 10 of the last 15 and a good conference record.

the bad is only 1 top 50 win and it wasn't on the road. so, the tigers are 1-3 vs the top 50 in that span.

i would imagine lsu's road record and lack of signature road wins are going to be difficult to overcome in the eyes of the committee.

the s.o.s. has gone up considerably but, is still really low according to espn, given lsu's record

one other stat is starting to become a glaring deficiency, defense. lsu's defensive ranking is pretty shocking.

several people have made a living since sec play started just cherry picking the few good things implying that lsu is tourney material while overlooking all the other aspects. at this point, i'm not sure lsu can continue to beat the scrubs and lose to the top 50 teams and still make the tourney, regardless of how the tigers "look"
