Miles hadn't had a 10-2 regular season since 2012. So 2016 would have been four seasons in a row without one.

Back-to-back 10-win regular seasons would absolutely 100% keep Orgeron his job.

what does that have to do with it?

10-3 is ok as long as the last loss is the last game of the year?

miles won 10 games 4 of the last 5 full years and was fired. why is different for O?

so we fired a coach that had actually accomplished great things at lsu that routinely won 10 games to hire 55 year old career dline coach and will keep him as long as he wins 10 games?

how..
why..
what...
that makes zero sense.

i thought we fired miles to compete for titles. if 10-3 is acceptable that means lsu can lose to the 3 best teams we play every year.
10 wins should be the floor at lsu with a 8-9 win season sprinkled in every now and again.

supposedly the only thing holding lsu back was Miles but now that he is gone 10 wins will keep this coach here?

Rick you damn well know it was time for Miles to go. I knew LSU would take steps back to go forward this year but as fans no one wants to look at what their team is realistically. Miles left the offensive line extremely bare and the transfers added to it. My biggest question for O and Canada would be why did so many linemen leave? O may have lost this team we will see soon.

ive repeatedly said we shoukdbe fired him after 2015.

i was in no way saying we should have kept him.
im just saying Alleva fired Miles because losing 3 games a year doesnt AND SHOULDNT CUT IT AT LSU. so i dont understand how O can be so safe if he never wons more than 10 games.

ill post all the 4star olineman on the roster
maybe O should've offered more olineman instead of almost losing our 2 committed qbs by offering a qb that was never coming here.
o had ample time to offer different players and try to keep olinemen from transferring. we have at least 6 4 star olineman.
clapp
brumfield
weathersby
Donovaughn
Campbell
ingram
charles
are all 4 star olineman. 8 olineman are 4 star or better
blame the head coach for not talking transfers off the ledge

surely it wasnt lack of competition fpr playing time. my guess is as good as yours brother.

ive never seen a lsu team quit like that. even on 1/9 the team didnt quit the HC just had an ignorant game plan.

No, No, No, No and if he goes 0-8 or 1-7 in the SEC this year, he may not be the coach after this year.

Do you believe Orgeron will win a national title as HC of LSU? Not a snowballs chance.

Do you believe Orgeron will win 8 games this year at LSU? No way

Will Orgeron be LSUs HC three years from now? No chance

1. Nope
2. Nope
3. Maybe but just 8
4. I really hope not.

So wasn't the point of getting rid of miles to challenge for sec west titles. O won't do that, so what was the point

He will not win the SEC west, so therefore he will not win the SEC. He will not even play for a National Title as the HC . I feel he has little chance to get to 8 this year. I think he is building toward the 2 year range in talent on the interior lines. Yes if he makes it through 2 years. Then yes he is the coach here in 3 years.

So it's a good job to do exactly what got the last guy fired? Makes sense.

Again, Miles hadn't had a 10-win regular season since 2012. Miles' last three seasons were 7-5, 9-3, and then likely 8-4 in 2016.

Back-to-back 10-win regular seasons would be much better than Miles' last few years, considering that type of season pretty much keeps you in the SEC West or New Year's Six race throughout the entire season.

It has everything to do with it.

Like I said in the post above, the difference between 10-2 and 9-3 could be the Sugar Bowl (or some other NY6 Bowl) or the Outback Bowl.

I just explained to you that I am referencing regular season record. Don't be purposefully obtuse.

Complete and utter nonsense.

This was NOT a rebuilding job. No one believed that. The O defenders are just making that up. And it's embarrassing.
