I've never had a problem with his personality off the field. In fact, I agree with you about CLM being a breath of fresh air. My only criticism is his in-game management. Sometimes he seems a bit too spaced out.

I like the course that this program is on. Someone like Saban is a bit too much of a tyrant for my taste.

never thought about this but yeah.

there was an article last year where someone made the point that college football is about being entertained and with Les you always get your money's worth. he wins and is worth the price of admission.

he's gonna pass charlie mac and be the all time winningest coach to ever don the purple and gold. i think that's awesome and couldn't think of a better guy to surpass CM and represent our school.

I don't live in Louisiana and i have a ton of fans always telling me that they want to hate LSU but they really just enjoy les miles so much they can't bring themselves to do it.

In game management has more to do with him not trusting his coordinators as much as himself... I think he has corrected that with the hires of Chavis and Cameron honestly.....

I don't find Saban as a tyrant, as much as a perfectionist... which just means he gets angry when things don't go his way. Which out of a coach is something I like.

He's a tyrant in the fact that if his team doesn't have an advantage than the rules of the game need to be changed for his advantage. (Ex. His overwhelming dislike of up tempo offenses)

Miles just rolled with the punches and didn't get up I'm arms over playing teams like TAMU,Oregon or Ole Miss.

i really think his "in game management" issues are overblown. he's not perfect and the obvious past instances are worth criticizing but if it was an "issue" he wouldn't post the numbers he does. No one has won at a more consistent level in the history of the school than les miles*.

*just made that up - it might be accurate but i totally just pulled it outta my arse.

Nationally Les is well liked and sought after by the media outlets.

Don't know if he will get 18 seasons but will definitely be the most successful when it's all said and done. I'm really optimistic that with Cam and Chief the best may yet be to come.

How many times have we gotten angry over the discipline that this team shows during critical moments. The Tennessee game back in 2010 and the Ole Miss meltdown are just a few situations that leave fans heads scratching about CLM.

I know that he has an overwhelmingly positive W/L %.

This couldn't be further from the truth, I live in the south but not in Louisiana, every single time I tell people I'm an LSU fan the other person laughs their arse off, tells me how much of a loser, douchbag bag les miles is.

That doesn't happen a few times, every time 100 percent.

Is that what a national icon is?

Of course they are going to act that way, you are consulting with people who hate LSU.

Are you really this naïve?

If Miles was at Bama and Saban at lsu, and I had a son deciding where to play, I'd want him to play for miles even that means Bama.

As a fan, I still prefer Miles over Saban. Saban is an a-hole.

The they are obviously ignorant to what Les has accomplished, I mean his 73% winning percentage in CFB would rank 20th among all D1 coaches....

I think Les Miles is a hell of a coach. He has had his wtf moments but every coach in America has, including Saban. He runs as clean a program as there is, his players seem to love playing for him and he seems to love being at LSU. I use to hate the yearly rumors of Saban leaving to go to the NFL and I can't stand watching a coach throw temper tatrums on the sidelines during games. I personally believe Sabans head would of imploded if he would have had to deal with all the issues that Hurricane Katrina and Rita caused. Miles isn't perfect, but i for one am very glad he's our head coach.

Les is the best coach we have had. There is nothing I dislike about him. See I watch other sports and other teams, they lose. Hall of fame coaches mess up and lose games. Even bertman had faults, not all of his teams were perfect. people that bitch and moan now will look back and continue to be the miserable people they are for not enjoying it while he was here.

I bet your character is as terrible as your priorities. I hope you don't have kids, or any influence over any of them. People who put production over ethics/moral code are what's wrong with this society

And there is one other bullit statement for the OP I forgot...he's only lost 2 OOC games here, never in regular season. That's pretty amazing.

Your reasoning isn't sound so I want to know why.... Ok his son and his daughter have issue, how does that make him a shitty parent? The daughter was of legal age and thus an adult when her issues took place and the son was a juvenile doing what we all did around that age.....

conversely, you want to claim you think he may be a decent parent cause you met him a few times and he seemed 'to care'?

I'll take the consistency of deviant behavior from his children as better insight over your few times sensing his 'care'

The OP did not outline anywhere that everyone had to agree with everyone or that someone's case could not be jumped on for either liking or disliking Coach Miles.
