I enjoy our morning rituals here on TD. You're a worthy adversary LNCH (and nothing you say in response to this comment will ruin my otherwise good mood this fine morning).

By the way, went to the Tiger Tour here in Bossier City to hear CLM/CJJ/Alleva speak. It was quite entertaining....and I didn't even have a moment when I wanted to jump up and choke the shite out of Les. He was pretty interesting/informative/direct (for once).
Food was even good!

Progress......!!!!!

I'd rather a shitty family man, like Saban, who wins a lot of national titles. What difference if he is a family man, he's a football coach

When Nick is the only coach you can come up with in your attempt to find a way to attack Miles, you are in fact expressing volumes bout the remarkable 9 yr run Miles has given LSU. imo

Im glad Miles is a good family man...but he's paid to win games.

Bobby Knight acted like a total jackass for years at IU, berated players, threw chairs, etc......but the dude won games so they kept him around.

Well, since LSU has won more "games" in the last 9 yrs. than any other BCS school, you must be a totally content LSU fan, huh.

A lot of coaches act like a "jackass". I'm just happy we have a winner who doesn't feel the need to be a jerk to do his job. Seems we have a win-win going on at LSU, but each to our own.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. My only point is it wouldn't bother me if he was a jerk at home or elsewhere because its not my business anyway....as long as he wins.

Let us talk Les Miles for a second... or an hour... or a day, or a week, month, year... just go ahead and sticky the thread so the idiots will have a place to holler into the void

Final straw was grabbing a kid and getting in his face for being disrecpectful....but he had a long pattern of bad behavior.

My point...which was lost on you obviously....was that they kept him around despite his antics...they weren't too concerned about his off-court behavior while he was winning.

Even a simpleton like you can grasp this concept can't you?

As far as Miles earning every penny....that's a subjective topic.

While I agree that winning is by far the most important factor in evaluating a coach, I cant join you in not caring bout a coaches jerk level. Knight, while being a great coach of the game, was a overbearing, pompous, and at times belligerent arse. Any coach at LSU conducting himself in that matter would be troublesome to me.

Don Sterling embraces RTR's maligned mantra.
Much displeasure with Brady even after incredible '06, so I think it's a crock.

I was on the Miles' train for 2008-2010. It was a hard time to try to post on TD. Probably one of about 10-15 posters on this site that was for him at the time. Got called all sorts of names and got really tired of the Larry Coker references.

It's refreshing to see the outpouring of support for Les, I'd say it's probably 85/15 now instead of 5/95 in the JJ/JL - Co-DC days. Also a bit annoying with the crowd of 3,000,000 that were in Death Valley for the Troy comeback that plays like they never wanted him fired

But to respond to the general idea of what you've said in this thread.. Revisionist history, but I'm okay with the way Miles handled the DC situation given what we got out of it. Hands down we have the best OC/DC tandem in CFB.

I also agree that nobody would give a shite about Miles "good guy" persona if he was losing, but he's not, so it's lagniappe.

At the end of the day, you say if he wins another NC, he's earned his place in your eyes, and since I fully expect that to happen in the next 2-3 years, welcome aboard.
