dude was only the #1 athlete in the country and they wont let him play QB and prolly not gonna return kicks???? This is crazy. What about furture recruits that are watching him be misused ??

he's overrated.

can't catch very well.
obviously, you've never seen him throw a pass or you wouldn't be lobbying for him to play q.b.

We should be like Texas and fire entire coaching staffs (who have won and been to multiple national titles) because some 5 star QB ends up not being that good.

Makes no sense to me. I would be pissed if I were Russell. Maybe they got a plan for him and Kragthorpe will utilize his talent.

I think Crowton didn't know what to do with all the talent at LSU.

1) Shepard...not, Sheppard

2) You are correct. Hell, Tyrann Mathieu, Spencer Ware, Jarvis Landry, Freak Johnson....no WAY they commit to LSU now....oh, wait!!!

I have had several people tell me he wasnt very good with the playbook. I dont know how true that is but if it is true, the last thing I would want him to play is QB....

Quite whining. RS ASKED to be moved to WR because he was having a hard time at qb. It just wasn't working out. You can be a total freak in high school, but it does not mean you have what it takes to be a major college qb.

He played quite a bit last year. Yeah, I agree they need to figure out a way to get him more touches, but even when he got chances this year, it really did not show him to be all that special.
I think in the end, things will work out for him. He is still young and learning things.

How many aren't the #1 athlete? So maybe they will say at LSU I will get a chance to win my job.

Are you talking about the 2 times he was picked up and body slammed his first year?

Probably one of the reasons he's not getting the ball as much

He needs to run correct routes and catch the football when it's thrown to him. Then he'll get more touches.

Russell Shepard to college is what Reggie Bush is to the Pros.....he doesn't have a position.

You might see a fake run to a pass with him but in no way is he a true QB. He was a bit overrated coming out but with that said I think he will be more productive with a new OC and a new QB, Jefferson or lee could never get the ball to his fast enough and thats where Rshep needs to thrive.....Hes still new at WR, this will be his junior year so he should be adjusted but he needs the ball quick for he can make something happen, he just needs room

Randall should be a top WR to, I think this will change when they have confidence in their qb which should be zack mett.....they absolutley have no confidence in JJ or lee

He was a senior this year, and played linebacker.

If you're referring to Russell Shepard, it only has one 'p', jackass.

Yeah you're right, our recruiting has taken such a hit... have you seen the scrubs coming in this year?!?!?!

He is not a qb, he is not a WR. He needs to be used as a running back in option situations or in shotgun formations and thats it

Has it ever occured to you that , maybe, his skills just didn't translate to the college level and he will never live up to the(impossible to live up to) hype he got when he signed with LSU.

It happens all over the country to all coaches and teams. Some guys who are everything in HS just can't make the leap and be stars in D1 college football.

Get over it, we have plenty of guys who can play.
