I think Adams is going to be a great player, no doubt, but he's nowhere near Mathieu particularly with the natural instincts mathieu had from the start.
Ehh I think Adams has actually played more as a true frosh than Mathieu did. But that could be more because PP was our starting corner in 2010.
They are diff players though. The turn over from Mathieu were just unreal. But Jamal Adams might give you more in other areas.

You assume all these teams will improve yet LSU wont. I admit some of these teams will likely improve but I feel we are in great shape to withstand the potential losses.
Where did I say LSU won't improve? I think they will in some areas, but this team next year will still not be a championship caliber team without some drastic and unlikely improvements at almost every position.
LSU has a ton of talent, but I think many of you are expecting way too much development over the year. In 2011, LSU had two senior QBs, both of which showed some significant progress earlier in their careers. We haven't seen any of that from Jennings and Harris is a huge unknown and I have little faith that Cameron is going to turn him into a player even half of what Winston was as a second year player.
His history is mainly in the NFL and even there it took him a while to develop young QBs.

Cmlsu5618- this is for you LSU will still have the same pathetic play at QB. You are full of shite with your comment about this coaching staff. They recruited players that Alabama, Auburn and Georgia would not take on as damn water boys. Cam develops QBs alright. Not one fuc!?g area of improvement in Jennings not one.

Both Harris and Jennings were getting their first season of real playing time. There's every reason to believe they will both improve by next season. Winston has actually regressed from last year and seasons like he had last year are extremely rare. Thats the exception, not the rule.

We have a GREAT chance to win an SEC and NC because we are one of the most athletic and fastest overall rosters in the country, we are loaded!

That's all Jennings had and it helped him.... The coaches just want the QB to be able to run the offense and by next year BH should know it just as good if not that's on him!! The coaches can't make Harris study the play book and coverages, blizt pick ups ect. They can help him in practices to gain experience on his flaws and weaknesses but it's up to him to get the study time in on his own, with the help of the coaches. I really believe Les and Cam just doesn't want to get Hartis hurt out there and thought it was best to let him learn the system fully bf letting him run the offense. This guy was only a freshman so you have to be pretty damn mature to run this with confidence and I think Harris is the right guy, he just needs more time. He will be our QB next year you watch. He's got talent, will he make some mistakes? I'm sure he will but I think he could be better than that Ohio State QB next year or by the middle or end of it anyway? LSU will be fine next year and les isn't holding him back lol that's just dumb and childish to say and believe!!! Go Tigers!!

You are pumping MORE than sunshine...........
LSU will NOT compete for the playoff with the QB play they have... Unless bigtime improvement is made.........

So LSU hasn't improved on D? You guys are pathetic.... The Oline looked pretty good when the 3rds came in the game? Harris will be much improved next year and when it happens I don't want to hear shite from you negetive people!! I agree that we need to hold onto our 3rd year guys and lots of them would absolutely improve their stock with another year, plus have a shot at a title. If Hawkins and Alexander come back I believe Harris will have a 30 TD season maybe better? This team can be crazy good if Les and staff start recruiting our 3rd year guys and preach championships and 1st round picks as the talking points bc it's simply the truth. Rasco and Hunter are 3rd to 4th round guys, Mills and the CB are 2nd to 3rd round guys, Hawkins and Alexander are 2nd to 3rd rounders maybe 4th? If these guys come back they are all high 2nd to first rounders bc their confidence will sky rocket depth will be there, stats will improve, will play for bigger games on bigger stages to go off in front of the NFL scouts, and you have a legit chance to put LSU and your home school back where it should be and shut all the people like you up. The media and people like you telling everyone that they are already gone is part reason why they leave IMO, if people would talk positive about coming back another season they may see that same thing and say you know what it's time we stop asking what happened once we get to the NFL and make it happen now. Once you have a few come back and see positive results then more will see this and come back. If LSU doesn't start keeping these guys LSU will never have a veteran team again and will always be young at key positions always every year.

The talent is there just like it has been the last several years,it comes down to coaching.

They will just reload. Meanwhile LSU won't be able to replace a couple of DB despite having experienced replacements.
Bama loses significant players, but has proven they can reload.

Lord some people are delusional.
Zero chance of us making the playoffs next year. 9-3 at best, and that's only because our OOC schedule is terrible. 4 guaranteed wins there.

I love how it's delusional to be optimistic about an extremely young and talented team improving, but being persistently negative, throwing in the towel on next season before this one is even over and dismissing any semblance of hope is "real talk" or some shite.

LSU has the talent to compete for a championship next season but that will not happen unless the the Offensive philosophy changes.

So you think he's going to do the same thing with 4 new starters that he did with 4 returning starters when LSU may lose 6 of its top 7 OL?
No, I really don't. Just trying to see if the OP had any input on how the O will be good losing that many lineman when the line play was already average at best.
I expect another 8-4 season

Agreed, but it doesn't need to be some seismic shift. I like staying dedicated to a running, ball control offense. But we need more unpredictability, wrinkles in the offense, more pre-snap motion, misdirection. Think first half against A&M. Something like that with a competent passer could be lethal.

They will improve.... BUT Most on here [SUNSHINE PUMPERS] think LSU will compete for the NC next year... NOT with the QB play.

Who is being negative. LSU will be good next year but 8-4 again is a real possibility........
