Could not agree with you more.

The guy will be Bob Stoops in a few years. Always in the top 10-15 but good for 2-3 losses.

Do you have a job? Have you ever gotten a raise before or been tempted to leave your job?

Would you rather a coach that no other team wants?

Hey, hey you, OP! Guess what!

Les is staying! HAHAHA!

Read that to yourself! Now do it again! Les isnt going anywhere!

I couldnt be happier, but hey, I bet you are upset. Why dont you go have a seat on that crimson bandwagon over there? Looks like they could use a few more sad sacks like you!

Geaux Les!

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Les win the SEc and play for a national championship last season? Sounds deserving of a raise to me

21-0. Not deserving of a raise IMO. You can't let your team get embarrassed like that.

Is this season deserving of a raise? 4th in the SEC (5th by some people's standards) and a chicken sandwich bowl appearance?

I seem to remember something about jumping on whichever ship had the most money too. Maybe I'm making that up

man I bet you turn down opportunities at more money all the time, huh?

If I had earned approximately 40 million bucks to my name in salary alone (not including investments and other income), and I was set to make just below 4 million a year....then yes, I would. Money would be of no object to me.

I'd rather lose to the #2 team in the country 21-0 than lose to UAB and ULM at home.

Yeah, because coaches making close to 4 million a year is very comparable to the real world.

es doesn't "threaten" to leave dip shite. Getting offers from other schools isn't out of the ordinary. Praise the man for being loyal to his school.

I'd praise him more if he came out immediately and quelled the rumors and didn't pretty much use it to rape LSU of money.

With all the injuries and suspensions and this might be his best coaching job since he has been here. So too answer your dumbass question...YES

frick are you really this stupid? Or just play like it on a message board?

The bottom line - as everyone admits - is that Saban is a better coach. The evidence demonstrates this. From a purely objective perspective, it makes sense to pay Saban millions of dollars because he wins multiple NC's and has made Bama the preeminent program in the SEC West and, frankly, the nation. I don't see that it makes as much sense from a purely football perspective to pay Miles an equivalent sum to finish second best in the SEC West on a perennial basis.

This year, Bama ended up being the preeminent program in the West.

Last year, it was Bama again because of the NCG result.

In 2010, Auburn was the preeminent program in the SEC West.

In 2009, Alabama.

In 2008, Alabama.

Looking at that data, I can't see a reason that Miles is entitled to a raise. It's been half a decade since we were the best program in our division of the conference.

But, yes, yes, I know, there is a tiresome contingent of LSU fans who are satisfied being second best because they believe in their timorous little hearts that the program can't do any better.

And for the record, he was in negotiations all season for a new deal. Had nothing to do with the Hogs.

If he was the angel and real nice family man you all thought he was, then why would he not honor a contract he signed?

13-1 dude. SEC Champs. Come off your embarrassing high horse. Other schools are laughing at us at how impossible we are toward Les. 99% of the country would die to have the run we've had during Les' time here.

This has nothing to do with Bama or Saban. MOVE ON. We aren't getting Saban back and no other coach is worth even discussing.

yeah, because this is really similar.

I mean a guy who has made about 40 million since 01 and is poised to make close to 4 mil/year going forward is really comparable to our jobs.
