Les says Harris is "starting first" with snaps in practice.

I tend to agree. I just think that he actually is looking for Harris to be the guy.

Of course Les wants the guy with a higher ceiling to be on the field - but not at the cost of ruining him if he's out there before he's ready. See: Auburn game last year.

Les said he doesn't know how much ground Harris made on jennings while he was suspended and Harris was able to work out during the summer... Implying jennings was ahead of Harris before he was suspended.

There's a lot of time until September 5th. Everything could change. I think that CLM feels that if he goes with AJ and we finish 8-5 he's done. But if we go 8-5 he will axe CCC and blame it on him

Or just implying that Jennings was the starter, and Harris will have to separate himself to win the job, which is basically what he said afterwards. He also said they were pretty much even before the summer.
