You should watch the game next time. dumb statement. Miles was definitely conservative with the lead as always. This will not work vs Bama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M

really the only questionable play call was the run on 2nd down and letting all the time run off before that

other than that, we marched right down the field pretty effeciently

Nope. We threw deep from the shadow of our own end zone, FFS.

Also:

LSU has outscored its opponents in the second half by MORE than they've outscored them in the first half every season since 2011 and cumulatively since Miles has arrived.

what about the back to back runs?

been one of the concerns of the fans for years. I know you watch other teams and they are able to get plays called and snapped in 10 seconds or less...we struggle to get a play off in 25 seconds.

last drive of the half had some terrible clock management and questionable play calls. Yeh I get it we got a FG but the fans I talked to thought we wasted (got too conservative) an opportunity to put a td on the board. We never hurried up in getting plays off that drive, except for running the same exact running play with LF. It was a great opportunity to allow DE to run a hurried up offense while leading 20-3 and a good time to go for a kill shot before half.

We kicked a FG with 7 seconds left in the half from the 10 yard line. The only legit complaint I see on that drive is the piece of shite fade call on 3rd and 5. I hate that play sooooooo much. Perhaps we could have got another pass play in on 2nd and 8. Otherwise, they methodically drove the field and got to the point where they could have the ball last and still go for the endzone. I don't think it was all that bad, particularly from a clock standpoint.

Miles loves this play in the redzone. It's infuriating.

Aaron Rodgers loves that play. Tons of coaches and QBs do, and I just don't get it. It is such a low percentage play even with elite WRs.

You'd never see a coach call a sideline fade like that on 3rd and 8 from the 45, so I don't know why they get so cute when they're close to the endzone.

I'm 100% confident Miles and company were content to sit on the 20-3 lead if they could, hence the two runs to start the drive. Once they got the 1st down and Moreau picked up 18 yards, they decided to be more aggressive.

I'm not a huge fan of being that conservative early, but I get it. Once they had better field position they got more aggressive. All in all I thought it was fine. The run on 2nd and 8 is debatable, and I hate the 3rd down play call, but they moved the ball 68 yards on 11 plays in 3:20.

You are just a woman scorned. Miles is still on the hotseat in my book but that don't have anything with staying for the game.

Les,
If you want the crowd to stay for the whole game I highly suggest you bring an exciting team out after halftime. We all know how you are with your play calling when you feel you have the game in the bag. The offense is already vanilla, but after halftime, the offense becomes an insult to the vanilla flavor (I heard that last week). Furthermore...the EYE TEST. Your offense does not pass it. If, for some divine intervention, we run the table, we are going to need to compete with teams that do pass the EYE TEST. The only way to do that is to put points on the board, or at least prove that you can when you want. Look at BAMA. They are not built to put up 40+...but they can do it. Louisville, Houston, Ohio State...they all can do it. Im not saying to run the score up. What I am saying is this.....PLAY THE GAME, NOT THE SCORE (Something Saban used to say).

This is music to my ears!!!!!!!

Yep, Ida been smilin tho, instead of being pissed because he almost blew it. Hell, he did blow it, but MSU blew it worse when they fumbled. If not, it woulda been 27-23 MSU. Its pretty freakin obvious we should have lost that game.
