What do we expect? Of course he isn't going to throw players under the bus, he should throw the coaches under the bus though. I don't blame the players, I blame the coaches.

Really? Because ive been watching football a long time and ive never heard a head coach specifically call out players.

And i'm willing to bet that if Miles did do this everyone would be bitching.. "I can't believe he threw his players under the bus...what kind of coach does that?"

There's a big difference between throwing Lee under the bus and admitting he still has a lot to work on. A huge difference.

And I've been watching football a little bit longer than you, and I've yet to see another coach go to the lengths Les Miles does to bullshite people in his answers.

The $64,000 question is: does Les Miles do this on purpose to play with the media, or does he really believe what comes out of his mouth? At times I think the latter is true.

I don't think it really matters what he says...those that hate him will find fault in everything.

Please tell me you don't honestly believe this. It's called "coach speak", it's why they invented the frickin' term. After 5 years you would think that people would understand that Miles' does not throw players under the bus, no matter how bad that person performed

Apparently you have a short attention span and can't get past the first line. But if you were to read on I say that I'm definitely not saying he should throw players under the bus but he should not say someone or something is working well when that is completely not true.

He doesn't have to say lee sucks but to say he played well is the reason people look at Les as a bumbling idiot

It sounds like Miles tries to rationalize every shortcoming the team has, when he could just say, "We need to improve our blocking/tackling/reads/want."

This shite is tiring.

He's stays positive, doesn't talk down on his team, in an essence he is their #1 cheerleader.. That's why his players like him and future players as well.

What good does it do to get all fricking negative and have your team adapt the same mentality.

Sometimes I wish this bored would implode.

Great. So Miles is loved by the players. So was Mike Archer.

Again, you don't have to be negative. How about accurate and/or honest though? Afterall, if you can't admit what your team's shortcomings are, how will you ever improve them?
