Say what you want about Miles, but with 30 seconds left, one timeout, down by 4, and at the 1 yard line, Miles runs the ball.

He might have let the clock run down to 3 seconds before he got the play off, but he runs the ball.

If he is HC and the Tigers throw the ball in that situation against Bama, we will witness the end of tiger droppings.com. The hamsters would just say frick it and never return.

Crap. Just saw this was being covered in the "Game Management..." thread. Just looked at thread titles before I posted this.

Never mind.

Les Miles would have run the ball 4 straight times up the middle from the 50...

Les Miles can't get to that situation and if he did he would probably run a FB Dive and get stuffed

If the same thing happened to LSU in a huge game like that and Les didn't run the ball the melt on here would be down right biblical.

Clemson 2012.

Second and 2, needed on more first down to milk the clock away, we passed 2 straight downs instead of handing to Jeremy Hill.

We lost.

I agree. LSU scores and even with 15 seconds left, Bama takes it down the field on Chavis to win.

Same situation against bama that year, we ran it, the clowns screamed why didn't we throw it when we had Mett.

The point is both those coaches made mistakes that could have cost their team. Carroll's cost his. You guys get so hung up on Les miles. Watch other teams play and you see great coaches making similar mistakes. If the pats lose, it would have been about belichiks clock mismanagement.
