Just in case you were wondering

ESPN is going to blow this waaayyy out of proportion. The new thing in college football is the perceived lack of discipline against players mistreating women.

When is the vote to get him reinstated?

Even if he did hit her it should only be 2 game suspension max. NFL and Goodell set the precedent.

In consecutive years, Jeremy Hill & Jalen Mills' pending criminal cases got on the docket the day #LSU opened fall camp
The infractions occurred a within a week of each other (a year apart), and it's the first Monday of August, so not sure it's anything more that a coincidence??

Why the * is he still being charged with anything? It's obvious the chick's were fighting. Not mills.
Case closed, then. Please report your eye witness account to the police so we can put all this behind us.

Not unexpected. This follows the JJ script. As long as you don't have a possible felony charge hanging over your head, you can practice.
We will see what sort of suspension he faces. One or two games?

UPDATE AT 4:04 P.M. – Brent Stockstill, Jalen Mills’ attorney, indicated Monday afternoon that his client will fight his simple battery charge in court, meaning Mills’ legal situation may not be fully resolved for some time. Mills was originally arrested on a count of second-degree battery, a felony, but the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office said Monday it would charge Mills with simple battery, a misdemeanor. Stockstill did say he has not spoken to Mills about the reduced charge but that he will talk to him "in the very near future.” "It’s my understanding that we want a trial on this,” Stockstill said. "He did not commit any crime, and we look forward to proving that.” Mills’ status with the team is murky at this point in time. He made an appearance at LSU’s afternoon practice, but it’s uncertain whether his gameday playing time will be affected. Stockstill said he was uncertain of Mills’ status on the football team. All of those questions could be answered later in the day. LSU coach Les Miles will speak to media members around 5:30 p.m. Monday, and an LSU spokesman said Miles will address Mills' situation at that time. Stockstill said a court date has not been set in the case. Stockstill declined to give further details about what happened the night of the incident, saying he’d rather try the case in court.
