Miles is dreaming again, he said Murphy would have a break out year and even gave him #18.

He gave Murphy the 18 because he was a leader, not because of his on the field ability

I'll "accept" his BS as long as it comes with the very most successful period in LSU history longggggggggggggggg before I "accept" your BS that comes with.... ...nothing of value for LSU.

Every one, huh.

Yeah every one. I know a lot of ya'll are gonna call those 2 180 yard passing games excellent performances but the reality is that is a below average game for just a good QB. And as far as winning 80% of your games.......1) That doesn't mean much if you should be winning 90% of your games and 2) They weren't won because of JJ

I really don't understand the blinders some LSU fans wear with regards to JJ, it's clear as day to everyone else in the country

I think it might be you with the "blinders" if your thought process equates to JJ looked like "chit" in "every regular season game".

All you have to do is to look at the Hog game for the west title to shoot down the every regular season game stuff.

He threw for 200+ yds, rushed for 65, and accounted for 2 TDs.

I'm not saying it was great or all SEC like, but he didn't play like chit either.

JJ was a limited college QB, but he had his good games...all I'm saying.

This. Shep is deadly in open space. Hopefully, he has a good year catching the ball and running good routes both things that he needed improvement on.

Gotta give him props when it comes to being a team player and effort. He just has not looked very fluid as a wideout. I still think he could become like Percy Harvin (maybe not quite as good) if he can improve his catching ability. We will see. Les has been at practices and seen, hopefully it proves to be true.

not really. His stats look good, but most of his yards came off of end arounds. He has some strait line speed, but not much moves and if he gets touched he's going down.

You don't know what you are talking about.

LINK

84 attempts, 557 yards and a long one of 69 yds. I will take that any day.

Funny you should say that. Jefferson did have the most Total O vs any opponent and the highest RAT. If you check career stats, he slightly outperformed Lee in just about every category.
Both QBs were pretty much even, except JJ had the wheels and slightly better under heavy rush.
I liked Lee in 2 minute and short drop stuff more.

During CLM's tenure only BSU and TCU have a higher winning %. They weren't competing against UA/Saban, UF/Meyer, Hogs/Petrino, SCar/Spurrier, a consistently good AU club....

There is a certain part of TIGERRANT posters that you will never convince that JJ should have ever seen another snap, after kicking someone in the head!

Let alone that Lee should of ever lost his starting job! I'm of the opinion that if Lee would've remained the starter,he could've been more valuable on Jan 9th than JJ Saban wasnt gonna let the option beat him.

Clearly Lee was the better passer last year and our offense was more balanced with Lee.

It's a Russell Shepard thread. The JJ thread is somewhere else.

I hate this thread. I've finally gotten sick enough of it to say what I have to say. Les Miles' word means nothing.

I wish Les would come out and say," I'm the best coach LSU has ever had. If you have a problem with winning, be a fan of another team. We are gonna win at LSU until I see fit to retire. Then, god willingly, LSU will hire another coach that wins.".

He would be loved in La until he died!

TR would shut down with 90 million CLM Bleaux threads. I still can't get over this one "1) That doesn't mean much if you should be winning 90% of your games"...I almost threw up.
