Les Miles has ruined JJ

Many fans are very hesitant to bash a player. But Miles insistence on trotting him out there, one can only guess to protect JJ from pouting, has turned even some mild mannered posters into dogging the poor kid. Our frustrations with the Coach has made us spew venom at the kid. There is absolutely no way that JJ can be walking around with his head held high right now. If Miles would have treated him like every other player and benched him when his play suffered, JJ probably would have some people still talking good about him.

i can just about agree with this. the only thing that holds me back from agreeing 100% is when i see jj yelling at the players after HE fricks up.

my guess is Miles still doesn't fully trust Lee...

JJ ruined JJ.
And it started with his attitude.

You gotta trust Lee more than JJ at this point.
Is it just me or does the offense seem more confident with Lee in the game. We seem to rush the ball better and there just seems to be more energy. The receiving corps seem more excited since they might actually get a ball thrown their way.

completely agree, if JL starts last night with JJ off the bench, the fans aren't nearly as bad, I think we can all see how stubborn he is being, I fear the implosion is inevitable, but I sure hope not, just beat Auburn!

Then Les is too busy on the sidelines asking for water, looking for his wife, asking the state policeman how many timeouts we have. Why would he not trust Lee, too many interceptions? Has he watched JJ this year? He has thrown 2 should have been pick 6's (WVU and UF), both let to TD's. He just gave McNeese a TD with a fumble at his own 5 yard line (2nd sack in a row he took). He should have thrown a pick on the first drive but the McNeese defender dropped it. How does that gain Les Miles' trust?

no doubt...Lee can make a bigger variety of throws, which keeps the defense honest and helps the running game. In addition, with Lee in the game, the ineffective option play isn't ran, sacks are fewer, etc. Also, Lee doesn't appear to be confused on the call coming in from the sideline, the play gets to the huddle and the offense hits the line ready for the play.

Miles has completely "coached" the instincts out of Jefferson. Lee's improvement is an indictment of Miles and Crowton. Their egos will cost us a shot at a Championship.

I really think that this whole JJ thing has backfired on Miles. But with luck and JL's play we're at 7-0....So that allows Miles to continue to shove JJ down everyones throats in hopes that JJ will miraculously turn it around, and not make Miles look like the total buffoon of a head coach that he really is.
It's worked for Miles so far this season. I hope his insistence on playing JJ a half a game + at Auburn in spite of JJ's horrible QB play so far, will once again provide victory for LSU.

the only good thing about Les' insistence to force Jefferson out there is that the less time Les and Gary focus on Jarrett, the better he gets

After his latest turnover inside the opponents red zone, he stood at the spot of the crime with his hands on his hips for the longest. I think he was trying to make sure everyone knew it wasn't his fault.

Lee had some pretty shaky spots last night and was fortunate not to have a pick-6. I'm all for JJ being relegated to full-time backup, but let's not get too carried away with thinking our QB issues would be resolved with Lee in full time...

That's reaching. You indict them for overcoaching JJ AND for coaching JL to improvement?

I totally agree. Forcing JJ out there has caused his game to totally regress. The AD's letter about booing probably embarrassed him and put a bigger chip on his shoulder than anything else. I am willing to bet he starts every Sunday thinking about the next game desperate to not mess up or to somehow find redemption. Give him a break already! He has another whole year left as long as you don't destroy his confidence this year.

Nice try, but jerk like actions, "dogging the poor kid", belong to those doing the "dogging" and the only excuse they have is that they don't know any better than to eat their own.
