The best FBS offenses use a handfull of plays executed to perfection and run from different formations and motion

Perfecting offense would take time away from the Big Cat Drill. Jeez.

Tigerdew, you think a cliffhanger SEC game is the time to call plays you haven't mastered yet?

So this upcoming stretch of murderous SEC games is where you break them out to start trying?

Don't tell that to a few in this thread. They think we're about to unleash hell this weekend.

I find that sort of strange too, when you only get 20hrs a week.

What do people not nderstand about football play calling.

Plays are called base on what the defenses give you. It's not like we take the enirety of the playbook out on any ONE game EVER.

Aside from a few questionable run calls, which no one knows if they weren't some odd check by someone, we lack execution. Offensive variety is not the problem, and it ususally isn't a hallmark of championship football.

Right. So les has been holding back this whole time? Against auburn in a tight 2 point game.. Against bama part 1 and 2?

never said he was, but there are plays they haven't ran yet. Auburn game was really not in doubt. LSU was in control, except for turnovers and penalties...kind of like north carolina a few years ago...it happens...especially on the road.

Mathieu is coming back to play at Lsu btw

not surprised you still dream about that. the kids on here love them some swag

I thought VC said he wouldn't be back here if he was wrong?

yes because, you know, mathieu is back and all.....some really dumb fricks on here....making a post like that as if mathieu is back and I was wrong.......shows two things...your age and intelligence level.

I really don't think you quite understand what it takes. You love that flash.....that score quick bs.......I MUCH prefer the pound your arse offense, slowly wearing down the defense and chewing up the clock in the process.....eventually the other team wears out and game over....while offense never gets in rhythm....I thought you might have learned that when oregon played lsu and auburn the last few years....but you still hung up on the flash...while us older guys hung up on the championships.

You started out saying he would never be back at LSU so you were wrong about that. He'll be on the team next year man. You need to start coping with that now.

On a side note, why do you immediately go on the "age & intelligence" attack every time you get fricked with on here? It's just a message board man. Sounds like you'd have more fun on a Mensa message board.

So apparently on the road @ Auburn in a 2pt game wasn't the time to use at least one of those plays? C'mon man

Ahh, but you forget we did use a new play. Mett had been rolling right (some by design, but mostly by necessity) and on a big 3rd down play late in the 4th, Coach Stud called a play where he rolled right. The defense gave chase and he threw it all the way back to the left flat, where Spencer Ware made a nice catch and run. It was very timely and gained 32 yards.

Our secret playbook must be about a half a page long.

You people do realize that when a play is that shitty there is no execution possible. If the play is simnple minded and easy to defend it make it much harder for the offensive player to make said play look not stupid.

I call on bullshite on this ^!!! It really isnt splitting atoms... no matter how simple the play is, it comes down to execution. If I block you, you dont make the tackle and the play picks up positve yards.

Did you not hear him follow up and say that the playbook hasn't been fully utilized and that they're saving some for later in the year?

So far, we have seen the same playbook that was used against Alabama in the NCG and we know that playbook won't get you passed the 50 yard line.It will also get you beat 21-0.

It was 12-10 with auburn getting the ball with enough time to go down the field to get into FG range...

It was a pretty tight game.
