Just out of curiosity, how do you know that's the ENTIRE playbook?

I'm not insinuating there's a secret playbook.

I'm just asking how do YOU know that there aren't plays that haven't been run?

How much of the details of the playbook do you actually think a head coach is going to discuss during a press conference?

This is silly. A coach would never say one way or the other whether the team has utilized all its plays... or whether the tendencies we've seen will be the ones we see against better defenses... or whether we have half of the playbook that hasn't been touched.

Can we just sit back and try to enjoy having a successful program and not expect a 50-point blowout win every single game? (note: even if we win a game by 50 points, if we don't have 300 yards passing, it would be considered a failure by many on this board)

Sure. No need to open it up in the SEC opener with the game in doubt. No reason at all.

Ok, I don't believe there is a "secret playbook", but I also don't believe the game was ever in doubt.

Its really not about the plays, its about the execution of the plays. We should master what we have before we try anything else. Now IS NOT the time to change things.

I don't care how many plays we run as long as we execute. I don't know why we don't run screens with the talented backs we have on this team. I'm tired of seeing our receivers drop passes too. Move Ford or someone else to receiver and play the slot. Maybe switch him with Sheppard.

I thought the coaches did use at least a new wrinkle to help win the Auburn game -- the throw back to Spencer Ware in the 4th quarter. It was also set up nicely by the previous roll outs (that had me scratching my head at the time).

Hate when these coaches say we don't want to show everything. Thats BS. You think Oregon is holding back their playbook? It's all about execution and no better way to practice execution than running those plays in a game. You call the plays that will give you the best chance of moving the ball no matter who you are playing. It also gives the other coaches something to work on in practice.

It was a two part answer to the playbook question.

First had to do with the way the offense was developing as far as moving the ball.

Second was the opponent we were actually facing.

Last I checked their offense is potent every year. If Oregon played any kind of defense they would be alot better as a team. We are talking playbooks by the way. Their coach aint scared of throwing the ball down the field.

It's not about holding back special plays. It was about not executing the plays being called against those teams and getting the offense in rhythm.

Did you think the playcalls were bad in the Washington game this year and majority of games last year?

The best FBS offenses use a handfull of plays executed to perfection and run from different formations and motion.

So apparently on the road @ Auburn in a 2pt game wasn't the time to use at least one of those plays? C'mon man.

Tigerdew, you think a cliffhanger SEC game is the time to call plays you haven't mastered yet?
