It's a good format for Les. He can ad lib and not have to fit into the mold of 'canned' sports media. Very well done in my view. And I never thought he could pull something like that off. He would be perfect for his own show on Sirius.

Each one has been a little longer. First was around 35 minutes IIRC, second was closer to 50 minutes, and today's was just over an hour.

I'm halfway through episode 3--right in the middle of his interview with Jacob Hester. Good times, good memories. Les is a quality individual.

Is it a conviction on LSU that the only gig Miles can get is recording himself talking for 45 minutes on old subjects instead of coaching?

When is the last time a major program (P5) hired a 63 year old HC to lead them into the future?

"Conviction "?

If you want a conviction against LSU , maybe you better check Miles' resume as Exhibit A.

134 wins in 11.3 seasons .

Miles is making bank for sitting on his arse right now. Any position he would take would effectively cost him money--since any pay would count against the money LSU owes him. I expect him to sit around for a couple of years collecting checks, and, once the LSU buyout gets paid, he may take on another coaching gig.

Seems like he'd make a good fit for Butch Jones' replacement at Tennessee, Butterteeth-the-shark-fricker @ Florida, or even the train wreck at Ole Miss-Dial.

Miles has said on the podcast that he fully intends to return to coaching. With a natty won, a second natty lost, and multiple conference championships under his belt, I'd imagine he could land any of those jobs with ease.

You have to indict before you can convict, you putz.

Looking forward to catching this latest podcast today. They've been great so far and the topics covered in this one should make for a great listen for any Tiger fan based on this thread

Pretty cool though it's a shame he was too stubborn to get freaky with the offense because he really did love LSU you can tell. He could have been sabanesque here if not for that.

I find the father-daughter aspect of it pretty entertaining. Smacker is like a tRant, LSU fan who rags on other coaches and the LSU downfalls, and Les is there to tell her to relax then offers support for the current admin.

Did anyone else find it odd that Coach Richt was sending stuffed animals to Macy Miles when she was a little girl and a letter saying, "I hope I can be your second favorite coach"?

ETA: Why was this thread anchored?

Just listened, great stuff.

I think a lot of fans should give it a listen. Realize we were lucky to have this guy.

Loved the part with Hester. He named one of his kids after Les.

Wtf? Why is this anchored? He specifically talks about LSU and the national title team. fricking ponamsky paying off chicken?
