Yep his USC payout ended last summer and Bama doubled his salary once he was off the Trojan payroll.

I don't think that's how it works. Many standard contracts contain a covenant that terminates a buyout if a new contract is more than the buyout amount (i.e. If Les signs a contract with Penn State for 1M a year LSU would own him 500,000/year for the life of the buyout. If Les signs a contract with Penn State for 2M/year LSU would owe him nothing).

Your correct I had it wrong. It is a bargaining chip for Miles. He can take "Les" money from a new school and let LSU subsidize his new gig. IF its a smaller school or an FCS program.

He still gets a minimum of 125K/month. Another job would only offset where the money is coming from.

I'll bet he gets a gig in a power 5 conference and will be paid more then 1.5MM per year. The man is not as bad of a couch as we like to think he is. There are tons of schools that would pay for 9-3 season every year. It would be even better if he ends up in a shitty conference with less real competition.

He could line up as many speaking engagements as he wanted for $125,000 a pop. Not to mention SEC Network/ ESPN etc, they will throw some bank at him without a doubt. Bottom line--he is certainly not going to be lacking in any way financially...

He is not Hillary Clinton people don't just pay people 125k to talk for an hour.
