Urban is a bitch. I really don't see the need for this thread.

Les is worlds better than Urban.

the fact is, the fans and alum of ohio state won't give a rats arse about urbans mental health if they are losing football games. the dumb arse should have taken a different coaching job if he missed the things he said he did. maybe a small school that is not a pressure cooker; the kids play because they love football but most will never sniff the nfl. it's hard for me to believe shite about him finding himself. he will be right back where he was before at the pressure cooker osu is. if he thinks they'll be less pressure there than in the sec, he's fooling himself.

The problem here is that you take his word for why he actually left Florida.

His wife caught him messing with volleyball players. He didn't leave because he wanted to.

Oh and look at that roster last year and see the way those younger players reacted to some actual tough, disciplined coaching that was even-handed with your boy Muschamp. There was a caste-system there. If you were an All-SEC type, you can & did get away with murder in Urban's eyes.

The difference between osu and uf is that the best team osu has to go up against during the season is the team they practice against everyday. Osu has to get up 1 or 2 times a yr to guarantee themselves a bcs game. It's not like thatin the sec.

Urban-overall winning % as hc is .819
It's obvious Les is the better coach

Miles has a .800% at LSU
Urban had a .817% at Florida

Plus, Les didnt go 7-5 like Urban did.

Urban had a 91.67% winning percentage at Utah which makes him look so good jack arse

Exactly. I'm sure coaches like Saban or Belichik aren't pleasant to be around either, but they win championships. Say what you want about Meyer, he may be a douche and he may have had his issues, but he won 2 titles in 3 years. Not to mention the program (UF) has taken a huge dive after he left. Man recognized he was having issues, so he left. Not sure why he is getting all this grief. A lot more coaches are d*cks than you think.

It definitely isn't the SEC, but they still have to play Mich State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan and probably one of those again in the Big 10 Championship game. Both Cal and Purdue were above .500 as well for what it's worth.

Again, not the SEC, but it's not like they are playing in C-USA, especially with a brand new coach, staff and a lot of new players.

Football is an addiction for that guy.

Literally, it will kill him.

Him working for espn as a commentator last year would be like an alcoholic working as a bartender and expecting him not to relapse.
Very well put analogy. That was exactly how I saw it, but I couldn't formulate what he did into words.

It's easy to sit back and judge someone when you are not in their shoes. No one posting on this board can imagine the type pressure these guys are under coaching Division 1 and especially SEC football at the highest levels. People are different. Meyer seems like a pretty introspective guy. I don't think Les is that introspective but he may be. Les seems to just roll with the punches better than most. Once again, it is easy to judge when you aren't in someone else's shoes.

I think this is spot on. His coaching acumen will definitely be tested at probation strapped Ohio St.

Has ANY coach endured what CLM has since he began at LSU? From winning with Saban's players, to Ole Miss clock game, to Perriloux/JJ/Jlee, bar fight, to the BCSNC game.

The train keeps a rolling all nigh long with Les and he seems none the different. I'll take CLM all day.

Urban will burn out at OSU just like he did at Florida.

He'll have success for 2 years while Braxton is there and then "retire" again because of his heartburn when he doesn't have a physically dominant QB.
