No, because no insurance company would write a policy on those athletes. Neither of those hypothetical people are going pro so an injury would not prevent them from earning money.

Your tax dollars aren't paying for it. Football self-funds and returns way more money to the treasury than this pittance.

Uh do you think the lender would get paid for the loan by the 10 million dollars LF7 would get if he hurt himself? I mean come on man..... the loan is nearly 100% secured.
