What would you say is it more of.

1) Him just having more experience now

2) The new offensive coaching of Krag and Stud.

3) Lee has more confidence because this is his team now.

Or do you have something else?

He's gotten better every year, with the exception of 2009 when he had serious confidence issues. There's really nothing to explain.

All 3 plus knowing that he didn't have to worry about getting benched for JJ if he made the slightest mistake.

This...with Krag, we finally have a qb coach again who teaches fundamentals and skills.

I really believe he will blow it up against wva once the run is established.

Better playcalling and teams loading up against the run. Looks like he is reading defenses better.

He's a 5th year senior vs being a RS Freshman. That's the biggest factor by far.

mostly 1, a little of 2. I think he'd become plenty confident last yr after coming thru in some clutch situations.

I think they'll give him more each week but so far the offense has been very closely managed. I've said for 2 years that both QB's would be more effective with a play action passing game, and we're seeing that play out now. Basically Lee is benefiting from a good running game, a good line, the opposing D stacking the box, thus leaving good receivers in single coverage.

In addition, I do give Lee credit for continued hard work, getting in better shape and stepping up his leadership after he took over for JJ.

I give Lee tons of credit for sticking it out through all he's gone through.

The confidence of not having to look over his shoulder or have the coach prefer someone else.

Does wonders for confidence and patience.

He has a better offensive line and LSU has yet to have to throw the ball down field much, so who knows how much better Lee is? So yea, the offensive play calling has been better.

needs to clean up his footwork but he's much improved prob from an offensive system that better suits him and working with krags as well as age/maturity

does not compute...safe offense, just less designed QB runs.

Either way, Lee has played extremely well thus far.

Without confidence, the other 2 would not show as much. Have to have confidence. So far he seems to posess enough of it to be successful. Once he lost his confidence in 2008, he became rattled.
