Good lord, I didn't realize you were one of these rant retards. You made a comparison of Jarrett Lee to Danny Weurful based on their velocity as if the velocity didn't seem to hurt Weurful. It didn't hurt Weurful because he was so extremely accurate. Much more so then Jarrett Lee. So your comparison fails. I know you are trying to compare one thing and leave out another. Unfortunately, it can't be done.

You made a very idiotic comparison.
I didn't compare Weurffel to Lee. I compared Weurffel's velocity to Lee's.
You guys are just embarrassingly stupid.

quote:Sure. He was great at placing the ball.

quote:No, it doesn't.
So your comparison fails.
The point was that high velocity is not essential to being a successful QB.

Most of you guys are talking out of your arse if you think Zach Mettenberger did better than Jarrett Lee...
Jarrett Lee and his first string starters torn this defense apart by halftime. Zach was on mop up duty against a worn down defense...
Rueben Randle had 121 passing yards, that alone should tell you something...
Mettenberger threw a bomb and wasn't even close, enough said.

Yes, Lee is still the starter. I don't think there's an argument about that. I was at the game too, and Mett is definitely better. This doesn't mean I don't support Lee, I'm just acknowledging that it was very evident tonight how good Mett is and how good he will be.

It is stupid to point to a flaw in a player and go "hey he did good so this isn't a requirement to be a good player!" Jarrett Lee has nothing to back up weak arm strength. Your point and comparrison is retarded. But hey you know, Tebow didn't have a strong arm and wasn't very accurate so I guess Lee will be just fine.

if Lee has a weak arm, this would be a good point.
but he doesn't. it's at least as strong as Jeffersons. Mett has a Mallett type arm. Lee probably has a better arm than matt flynn did..

YES it is UNLESS you happen to be the most accurate college QB in the last quarter century.
bad comparison.

-Mett does NOT have a Mallet arm.
-JJ had a stronger arm than Lee.

and Lee has a nice balance. he has enough accuracy and enough velocity.

Look at the number of passes he has underthrown. Look at the number of deeper passes that WRs have to stop and wait on.

It was his biggest flaw. He had a way to deal with it, Lee doesn't. Your point was terrible.

Lee has high velocity when he sets.
My point is that it is not essential to being a good QB.

In college it was never even brought up. . .unless the topic was his projection at the next level.
