Laron is big make no mistakes about it but he is not as big as those pictures make him appear. Being a former(well retired I guess now) bodybuilder those are what we call bodybuilding mirrors. They give you the appearance of being bigger than what you actually are.

He's been that way for a while now. I think he had a pretty good season last year off the top of my head.
I'm sure he bulks up now and slims up a little during the season
