Does anyone think PM will start him this weekend vs State? He would add pop and speed to the lineup but is it worth disrupting the infield?

If you replace Nola with Landry and move Schimpf back to the infield, he would add speed to the lineup in Nola's spot

you really want Nola going to the bench? And I doubt that Landry is that much faster than Nola

I can see PM giving Leon a start in at least one game this weekend. With Nola about to drop below the Mendoza line PM will have to decide if his additional defense outweighs his lack of offense.

Wow! I guess we should replace Dean with Dozar to add power to the line up too?

Nola is a great defensive shortstop and he works the count well at the plate but he has not coming through with timely hits. It's just hard to overlook what Landry has done the last two games. He's hot right now, it would be hard to have him riding the pine.

I really like our defense with Nola. But I have to wonder how long Mainieri will stay with him if he can't give much production at the plate. Sac bunts and walks are fine, but even his OB% is falling.

I keep waiting for him to string a couple of hits together to jump start him. Hope he gets it going soon.

You must have missed his recent errors in the infield.

Landry is on fire against who?

Your comparison makes no sense

I'm talking about replacing a .204 hitter with a .283 hitter and you compare it to replacing a .333 hitter with a .242 hitter

yes it is! Nola can barely score from second on a base hit. the reason he is able to play SS is he gets a tremendous read off the bat and has a great first step. past that he is slow...just watch him run out his bunts or infield hits....slow!

dont get me wrong Nola should stay in the lineup! but to say he is as or almost as fast as Landry is crazy! just watch the game!

Ryan had one bad game against Tennessee but he had been gold defensively before that game.

It was enough for Mainieri to move him to the outfield.

I'm just saying, Landry was hot v the Gents and that's no reason to change things up.

In the last 4 games:

Nola is 0-8
Landry is 5-5

Looks like Landry is on fire against the same competition that has shut Nola down.
