I think the better question is what do we expect out of Curry. tRant sees big things from him but immediate impact is rare.

A poster on the recruiting board got real angry when I laughed at him for predicting that little Fournette will leave early for the NFL after this season.

I hope he's right because it means he had a great season. I have my doubts though.

True, some players develop more than others in college. Some high school "superstars" become stagnant once they hit college. It's all relative

everyone knows why he's really on the roster.

Say what you will but Lanard is a scholarship level SEC RB.

Is he starter quality for a major program? No but he was definitely deserving of a spot. If he was NOT related to Leonard, he would’ve received SEC scholarship offers.

He hasn't played up to his billing.

Do you even know his stats? He’s averaging 6.7 YPA. He’s only had 46 carries.

False. Got 2 other offers. Tulane and Bama. We know why Bama offered him.

Nick just isn't that good. Seems like a good kid and hard worker, but he's been overrated since high school.

How did you come to that conclusion in his career 46 carries. Is it his 6.7 YPC?

I thought he looked pretty good in Spring.

During Spring practice or in the Spring game?

A player's performance in the spring game means nothing.

if Lanard is in, that means LSU is either up by 30, or down by 30. you can bookmark this post.

I expect Lanard to be in the rotation and to get a good amount of carries this season. He is better than most fans think. He will be a head of Curry on the depth chart. Provens may get more touches though because he has a more defined role as a 3rd down scat back. Brossette will be our power back with CEH and Lanard being do it all backs being involved in the pass game and screen passes. Provens will fill the scat back role.

Lanard coming out of high school probably wouldn't have received any SEC offers coming out of high school but through hard work and delayed genetics has developed into a SEC level running back. He is going to get meaningful PT this season. Those are my expectations.

Should be playing at McNeese, ULL, etc. Nature of the business though when you pay the world for #7 have to take little brother as a package deal.

CEH is our bell cow. Curry is a huge question mark to me (I'm not sold on the competition he faced in high school). To me, Lanard is underrated, especially catching the ball out of the backfield. Just my .02.

How much would you like to wager that Lanard finishes with less than 40 carries and less than 250 yards rushing this season?

EDIT: I’m not hating on Lanard, he simply is going to be passed on the depth chart.
