Thoughts on the baby.
It may be just me but if I had been told that the lady may be carrying my child, when I found out what went down and that the child was alive and in the hospital I would have gone to the hospital and found out one way or the other if that was my child.
The fact that he didn't puts him in a bad lite.

I don't think that guilt, innocence, or character can be inferred from this because any sane attorney would find a way to persuade the client not to make that hospital visit.

Is it news to you that a person has to have sex with someone within a given timeframe for a child to be his?

No. At first I was fairly confident that he didn't do anything because the police and their actions. Now these rumors are getting more more odd. It's sort of like when you see something so ridiculous that you can't believe what you just saw.

OK cool.

do you honestly think this thing would have gone this far if he KNEW he hadn't had sex with her in over 9 months.

it's not what La'el knows, it's what the cops know and believe. I'm not saying he hasn't had sex with her within the past 9 months (he likely has), but do you think the cops would just take him for his word when he's been in contact with her within the past 9 months? How many times have men sworn there's no possible way that baby is theirs....only to be proven to be the father.

Our sources say La'el told cops he hadn't spoken with Brittney for several months--when she first suggested that he could be the father of her child.

If La'el didn't speak with her after getting this news, it certainly doesn't seem that he wanted to be a part of the child's life if it turned out to be his.

This. And don't assume he is making any of his own decisions in recent weeks. The decision about when to talk to police, when to leave Chicago, etc are all likely due to his attorney and agent. This isn't a criticism of any of these decisions, just a statement that his behavior recently almost certainly is not a reflection of what he would have done left to his own decisions.

So people with lawyers and agents aren't responsible for their actions. Got it.

So when she informed him he could be the father, she just counted on him being bad at math. Sounds logical.

No, i'm unaware of instances where women tell men that they haven't had sex with that they are the father.

who said that? what they are saying is that when you hire a very accomplished and reputable attorney (or any attorney really) to provide you with advice and guidance pursuant to a situation of which you do not have the requisite knowledge to make an intelligent decision, then you listen to him and act according. Otherwise, you might as well not be paying them for their services in the first place. People who act contrary the guidance of their legal counsel generally are making a poor decision.

If the Saints are not pursuing him, I can only believe they have more information than the other NFL teams and this does not bode well for La'el. Hope I am wrong.

Or as was posted before (credible source, I know) he informed them that he didn't want to sign with them and wanted to leave Louisiana.
