Krag's new position???

I hope he stays on staff (in some way shape or form) - he has been VERY good for recruiting QBs and got at mentoring (from his history). Plus he was supposed to be OC then the disease, I just don't want to kick him out. Just MO.

I haven't been keeping extremely close tabs on this, so I might have missed it.

I have heard some speculation about what he is going to do, but I have not heard anything officail. Anyone know???

That is exactly what I think he should do (if it was me) (plus maybe TE coach, cause I don't think the current one has done anything in recruiting or coaching IMO)

We're maxed out on coaches. From what I'm hearing Krags will move to some kind of admin type role in an office or something like that. I think he will still be able to recruit, but don't know if he will since he won't be coaching.

Administrative position to lessen the stress on his health/disease status. Other sites say it will be a Recruiting office like Saban started and well funded at Bama. Oversees the NEW loser recruiting rules on cellphone/texting/twitter/facebook contacts. Rumors of Russell Shepard may work there too,if he doesn't make a pro team. We will all know Friday at 11:00 am.

No more spots for full staff members. Administration pos. his only option with big pay cut I would think.

he can't be qb coach and even if he could it would be kinda dumb to have 2 different qb coaches. one voice is better than 2 for our qbs.

anyways with cam coming in someone has to be moved to an admin role because there is a limit too how many coaches can be on staff and we are full.

I do agree on ensminger but im not all for moving a guy to a new role that he might not be good at just because we want to keep him on staff.

I was hoping this would happen. I think he could be a big time recruiter down the road.

Him and stud cant both be on staff. Krag most likely takes administrative role. Ncaa recruiting is changing. They will allow an on campus recruiting coordinator. He would be perfect for that. Basically oversees and informs staff and also assuming he can still recruit kids, just not go on the riad to visit like a coach can.

I misspelled. I meant as loose, not as strict, relaxed rules, which start August 1st ,I believe.

So Russell Shepard throws a fit on twitter multiple times and threatens to write a tell all book....and we want him as a staff member?

Starting his coaching career and being given that opportunity could change his tune. I think he would be a great asset for LSU in recruiting the Houston area.

Wouldn't it be wild to see CRS roaming the sidelines as LSUHBC in about 20 years?

I think he recognizes opportunity, and knows he was popular with fans and probably coaches too.

Krag's is keeping his salary and moving into an administrative roll of some sort.
