Kling and Neal will decide the offensive trajectory of this team

For better or worse, but it’s true. If they figure it out, we’ll be fine. If not, it’s going to be rough.
So far, it’s been abysmal. Long season though.

If so, don't plan on seeing them in Hoover. Kling and Neal are completely lost at the plate.

It’s weird when people say stuff like this. What if other guys like Brown, Frey, Milam figure it out instead?

Sela, they need to be your everyday CF and C and top half of the order hitters.

I’ve been saying this. This team doesn’t have the luxury to just throw Neal and Kling to the side. Jay doesn’t have a choice but to hope they figure it out.

None of those guys play center field or catcher

Neal might not be in the lineup much longer.

I've been rooting for Kling and hoping he can heat up. He's supposed to be one of the most talented guys on the team according to CJJ.
But man, he looks about as cold as a ball player can get at the plate. I'm starting to give up hope he will rebound and start hitting the ball.

Brown was literally our starting center fielder yesterday. And we’re not desperate for catchers. We have two that are currently outperforming Neal.

I agree that these two are the key to being a pressure offense. Think of it this way……we will not do well with men on base with two or three easy outs.

Kling for sure. He’s fastest on team yet Ks too much. I like Monster at 2nd Pearson in RF every game.
I also have faith in CoachJ

We have more of a chance if they don't see the field again this year, along with a couple of our receivers. Some players, regardless of how highly touted, apparently just can't produce. If Frey isn't in the lineup every game (I'm not sure but I didn't follow game 2 but I don't think he played after going 2-3 on Friday night) and we play Neal and Kling, we aren't giving our best effort.
Why is it that when LSU men's sport wins a natty, the following year they are awful? Most teams just keep getting better. Frustrating

Disagree. Kling plays a good center field. His defense will be missed. His offense will not.
Neal’s bat is 1000% not good enough to justify putting him in the outfield, and maybe not good enough to take meaningful time away from Milazzo in my opinion.

Can Brown stick as an everyday CF in the SEC? I honestly don’t know. Same for Frey.
As for catcher, Milazzo won’t hit enough and Travinski won’t field well enough. Of course they’re playing better than Neal right now, but we’re talking about the optimum lineup to max out potential.
The best lineup for LSU in a perfect world, and I don’t think it’s debatable, is:
SS-Braswell
2B-Milam
3B- White
1B- Jones
C- Neal
LF- Frey
CF- Kling
RF- Brown
DH- Travinski
Utility- Pearson
4th OF- Bingham
Milazzo as spot starter at C and defensive replacement.
If THAT lineup clicks, see you in Omaha.

According to another post, Kling and Neal are combined 0 for 25, with 9k’s in SEC play.
