[quote]We have 7 wins and projected to go to the Independence Bowl.

which would have been 8 wins with a shot at winning 10 this year....

We would have been celebrating an incredible year.

Instead, we are firing our coach. It isn't even close to the same...

I don't get you stupid mf's. Les is gone.....as he should be...but you ignorant negatigers keep on with the same absolute bullshite that you have been posting for years. It's like you guys have zero clue about reality.

There is a huge difference between celebrating in Indy Bowl and firing your coach over it.....so you tell me....does that seem like the same level of a program?

From the article:
quote:

. LSU hasn't had a defensive lineman standout out as a playmaker since Bennie Logan left after the 2012 season.

That says a lot.

What is LSU without great defensive players? A 3 to 5 loss team.

That's because the same problems have been around for years but the pumpers didn't want to hear about it, but would rather bury their heads in the sand and hope things would just fix themselves

Vanilla Offense, poor in game adjustments, poor clock management. All these problems have been around for years, but now the preverbal chickens have come to roost.

It's just not good enough anymore!!!

I guess I've missed the posts from any fans who thought LSU played a good, competitive game last week...maybe the strawman did

Maybe it was on Harris, but I don't think anyone outside the team could know

If you know what to look for you could tell the error was on Harris. Between Fournette selling the fake & the blocking slants of the offensive line, the play call was for Harris to fake the toss then bootleg around the edge. Harris blew it because it would have been an easy touchdown as Ole Miss keyed all their attention to Fournette.

Vanilla Offense

The play calling against Ole Miss was not bad. The execution by Harris & the offensive line was down right awful though. There were entirely too many plays there to be had that were not made because of mental errors. That still falls on coaching though.

Thy had a chance to save their coach and they knew it. They were utterly unprepared to do that.
That's what makes me think Les is really done.
If he does stay, next year could be really ugly.

Most didn't even give LSU a chance to win 10 games this year.

When LSU enters the season without "a chance to win 10 games", it's time to find a new coach.

Get out of here with this "expectations crap". That's how far the program has slid. You're trying to justify losing by saying we all expected it anyway.

the whole "10-win season" thing is overblown. With our recruiting base, facilities, etc., 10 wins is nice, but it shouldn't be the sole measuring stick.

With 12 regular season games plus a bowl game, that's 13 games. Our schedule always has 3-4 cupcakes, and then a few weaker SEC teams.

Our "real" season usually boils down to about 5-6 games.

It's how we do against this better competition that matters.

That play was more like classic JJ. I got the willies watching it as it brought a lot of bad 1/9 memories.

Still falls squarely on the shoulders of Les Miles........

He recruited them, signed them and coached them for several years...... It is inexcusable.

Les Miles has got to go this year..
