no way Dillon ever has 3 catches in one half. play weathersby at te for blocking. we don't need deception with a te. jeter can't block for shite and should see limited playing time against bama.

I hope KJ gets to play more just so I can see that flip phone again!

Jeter is a pretty good blocker and our best all around TE. Is KJ an adequate pass catcher? Though we don't pass a lot to TE's it does happen occasionally.

Which is exactly why an offensive coordinator would use that approach in a game.

We are not talking about 15+ yard passes here. Anything to keep a defense on its heels makes it have to account for every move and can make an lb one step slower which LF obviously takes advantage of.

The flip side can be said for desean smith. The More run- blocking plays he is a part of and can execute them, the more opportunities he could have later in the game.

To say we don't need deception is simply foolish as we always use it.....with 150 lb kicker. Bama uses deception with a 300 lb OT.

All players are useful in deception.

Want to take a guess at how many of Fournette's 1202 yards were gained without Gordon?

If true, that's pretty dang impressive retort... But I'm thinking like everyone else about pushing the goobers at Bama out of the way.

Huge loss imo. Mainly because of bama coming up. We could've really used him in BDS

yes... We use the TE to block not to catch... And talk about "misdirection" with a Brumfield or KJ in the game and everyone knows they are there to block... Remember when JC Copeland caught that pass last year against Alabama... What a surprise?!! We use the TE to block so why try to have a TE that can catch. We also still run several two TE sets... I floated the idea but now I'm thinking it's the right thing to do... I'll call Les right now...

Gordon was essentially an OL eligible once he beefed up to over 300lbs.

I don't think it is out of the question if Miles gives one of his more athletic OL a TE # and puts them in the game.
