Nature of the beast, before they had to ball out to get that lucrative NFL deal, now they get paid no matter how they perform they just gotta sign that paper and commit. Every year play drops off and it’s not just here it’s across the conference. Hate to say it but ole Satan was right NIL has ruined college ball for the foreseeable future. Look there for your answers and fixes, until NIL is performance based this type of effort will be the norm.

Hard to get up and grind when you are a teenager with a couple million in the bank. Look what money did to Conor McGregor.

It was a good run. 20 years of dominance. Oregon football is going to be crazy. They have a ton of money from Nike

They’re also increasingly entitled brats. Just look at Colorado. Celebrating every postive play down multiple touchdowns. It’s all look at me, pay me, bs. Product is about to majorly decline. People are ignoring this because, for now, the still want/need their ritual of football. It’s reached a point where it’s turning people off though.

Add the threat of going to the transfer portal as well. Your post is dead on.

UGA has won back-to-back championships and has a shot at 3 in a row I mean I know what you're saying across the board especially with Bama falling off, but it' hard to ignore the UGA domination

NIL is sinking the sport, regardless of what others say.

That makes what Kirby is doing at UGA even more amazing. Dominance in this era is almost impossible and he’s done it.

How does Colorado STILL make this thread? Furthermore, the fact that you know what colorado is doing justifies why they SHOULD be getting paid. You wasn't watching colorado football before deion and now you're on a LSU page talking about them. That's money in the bank for colorado.
Also, stop pointing to colorado because LSU can't win. Colorado and LSU does NOT have the same caliber of players. It's a positive for colorado to lose by one touchdown given their past and talent. It's a negative for LSU to lose by one touchdown given their past and talent.

I knew this would turn out into a money war with the NIL.. if your school got cash you have a chance if not you’re fricked…these type of players will play soft, playing not to get hurt to make it to the next level while they collect big checks in college.. the NIL has ruined the college game of football

I think bama has suffered the most from NIL. They completely dominated most years up until NIL. They could end up being a 3 loss team by the end of this season

That’s why Saban was so mad about the NIL becuz he knew he had to put up serious money for big time recruits against other schools instead of Dodge Chargers.. he didn’t have to compete with other schools before for certain players with the Gestapo NCAA under his wing protecting him …

To be fair, that was already beginning to happen before NIL.

I do agree, college football is definitely not the same and not in a good way. I would respect it more if teams approached NIL like a business since that’s what it is now. If you don’t perform to expectations, you’re out. But NIL is too loosely organized and disconnected from the universities for that to work

Players were always getting paid. It’s been an institutionalized thing for decades. The transfer rules are the game changer.

And it’s mainly just Alabama that is going down hill. Look how many SEC teams are ranked. There is just more parity now and you are so used to one team dominating. LSU has had ups and downs worse than this pre-NIL.
