Left game early. Heard crowd roaring the entire walk back to El Cid. Listened to last bit on radio.

I was at that game but apparently had forgotten that Faulk was suspended. I'm usually an optimist and can remember looking at the scoreboard at the end of the 3rd quarter when we were down 14-34 and thinking 'Well, we're about to score (or get the ball) to start the 4th, then we just need a stop, then...'. Then it all happened like I was hoping, which usually never happens.

That turned out to be a big win and allow the program to take another couple of steps forward before it imploded.

Was there, great game by Faulk. At the start of the 4th, my dad says unless he returns this kick, we are leaving. Well you know what happen, unreal comeback.

I was there, North Endzone student section. All Eyez on 3! Single-handedly beat Houston that night. One of the best performances I've ever seen in person.

I'll never forget the headline on the front of the advocates sports page the next day...

Dinardo had a Bobby Bowden moment and lightened the suspension at halftime. I'm a huge Faulk and LSU fan, but it was an obvious move and I lost a little respect for Dinardo after that game.

I was there and stayed the whole game not like the debacle against Auburn in 1999 where I left early.

That was a great game. Never should have been down to UH as much as we were, but watching Kevin Faulk almost single-handedly bring us back to win is a great memory.

I had horrible seats for that game (front row in curve of the endzone) and got into a shouting and light shoving match with one of the UH male cheerleaders. He put the bullhorn right up to my ear when I got up to get drinks and started his cheer. I knocked it down and busted his lip in the process. Cops came over and made them move after we got in each others faces.

Faulk is definitely my favorite tiger of my lifetime. He did it all. I think he made AA as return specialist as a sophomore. Too lazy to look it up.
Anyhow, he could have been accused of losing the game due to his fumbles. But, he went into Michael Jordan mode and took over.

How many times did Faulk fumble in that game?

What most are forgetting is what happened between the 3rd and 4th quarters. The team went to the sideline and Faulk went to the eye of the Tiger. He began to point to the student section and jump up and down. He got the stadium rocking in between the quarter. He caught the punt on a dead sprint, and the rest is history.

I remember not too long ago looking for Kevin Faulk LSU highlights on Youtube and being stunned that there were only maybe 3 or 4 videos of individual runs. You are doing the lord's work posting these vids.

I wish I could go back in time and watch Faulk play all over again. I've still never enjoyed watching anyone play as much as I did him when I was a kid.
