I loved him as a freshman, but he never improved. I remember him losing weight every year and getting weaker because of it. He needed to stay at that 240lb weight and be a bulldozer. I can't understand how he ran so slow checking in at 226 which is big, but lighter than he was as a freshman. Ran a 4.90 his second time as well.

4.9 is just awful for a RB. Wow.
He's got to run better at pro day

FWIW, this RB class was very slow for the most part. Hell the "world class" track guy ran mid 4.5's.

Not a good time for him, but he has a place in the NFL ahead of many of the other guys with faster times. He is proven in the SEC against great defenses.

Wow he was such a burner at LSU, so explosive. I am also really surprised he didn't run 4.4 like every other TD member.

If he adds a little more weight he could be a beast fullback

I thought this was a given that he was pretty slow?

Charles Scott was better than Hillard.

He is a great athlete and admittedly had some great runs/games. But there was a point when I felt like he was possibly a lb'er because of his size/speed.

Maybe he would have given Welter a run for his money for that year and a half......

Kenny was never a speedster back, why expecting to run a time as such.

No said shite about speed when he broke the Louisiana record in high school.

Great gif showing what he did on the field. Teams that value combine times and measurements more than production against thw best college competition dont compete for playoffs/championships.

Just out of curiosity, what did they claim his 40 times were coming out of high school?

Miles has lost control of Hilliard's 40 time.

how many RBs are in the league that run 4.83?

I agree with your premise, but there are certain cut off points. shite even most of our past RBs (charles scott, Keiland, michael ford, Ware, etc) cant find spots in the league. They were good college players, and even had better measureables than Hilliard.

Hopefully he can catch on at FB, but that's a dying position in itself

He should've known to sat out then. Bad mistake.

I wouldn't have expected much faster just from watching him play the last few years. He never looked fast, especially straight away speed. Has decent power, good hands, relatively nimble and balance. Could find a niche as a backup in the NFL with the way they go through RB's.
