I wouldn't mind seeing something like last year carrie wise from our backs. id probably give the number 2 guy about 20 more or so and take those 20 from whoever is fourth

I definitely wouldn't mind if he would get that much work, but knowing Les and Cam, I can see us riding Magee in close games and I can see us using the freshman duo in the non-conference games.

Each back will get plenty of touches, but each time they touch the ball they will run the exact same play. So every time X comes in it will be a half-back toss, every time Y comes in, it will be a sweep, and on and on.

8-10 touches a game, maybe more if he's his old bulldozer self.

He probably has his sights set on a NFL career after this season, so he's liable to run just that much harder this year as well.

I agree that this is as good a trio of running backs as we have ever had and that is saying a lot. If the offensive line is as good as advertised, watch out!

Hilliard is the forgotten man but he can resurrect old memories and create a lot of new ones. I hope he at least get's the chance. Les may not give him but four or five carries a game if Magee and LF are getting the job done.

But go to You Tube and look at some of his highlights. The guy just had some outstanding runs. The surprising thing is that a lot of times he was just outrunning people. He has game speed which together with his power makes him super tough. Yeah he goes down easy sometimes. So does every other back including Hill last year when you don't get the blocks.

Hilliard is laying low..... he is still healthy and older and wiser. He has the strength to run over people and with our offensive line he will do well. He may not get 1,000 yards but he will be effective and he will have his opportunities. Miles loves the guys that have put in their time and earned their stripes. Hilliard fits that category well. Glad to see a thread about him. I like his work ethic and attitude.
