Kenny Hilliard is now (arguably) LSU's best running back. He had a hefty total of just 2 carries when LSU and Bama met in Tuscaloosa 2 months ago.

Sure, Kenny will not "start" the game, but LSU will run at least 5 (Ware, Ford, Blue, Hilliard, JJ) and also may run even more (something involving Shep or another reciever).

Look for LSU to show the Hilliard-FB and Ford-TB set with JJ QB a few times to aid in wearing down Bama, especially if it is true that Saban has lightened up the LB's to try to allow them to better defense the option. Along with the "starting" FB's doing some pounding also...

Kenny Hilliard is highly likely to carry the ball many more than 2 times in this slugfest, and that is something Vegas and the other experts seem to just not be accounting for.

I personally predict that Kenny Hilliard will be the MVP of the LSU championship victory. Mo Claiborne is my alternate guess (that is all any of our predictions are after all).

This is going to be a trench war, and Kenny Hillard at both FB and TB will play a signicant role, whereas he was not in such a position on Nov 5th.

That's all, and that's why Vegas's 2 point spread in favor of Bama (or whatever it is currently) is just wrong.

I love me some Kenny "Hard Hitting" Hilliard

(no homo)

Look out for "You're my boy" Blue too, he didn't have any carries the 1st game because of an injury

He's our homerun take advantage of the worn out defense guy in the 4th quarter

Vegas is worried about equal money on both sides. Period.

Fans and observers are loving Bama, for whatever reason.

On paper LSU should be a 3-point favorite.

I hope KH is the MVP.

I like what Ware and Hilliard bring, but I think Ford gives us the best match up against bama's defense.

I'm guessing we'll see a lot more of Eddie Lacey for the Tide this go 'round. He was hobbled by a bad turf toe Nov. 5th. He should be healed up, so look for a little fresher TR in the 4th tomorrow night.

Still, 5 is better than 2, plus we have a significant advantage with depth across BOTH of our lines versus the opposing Bama lines. That's where this game will be won.

I'll confess I don't kow much about their substituion and how deep their lines are, but many people say this leading me to think this must be the case.

I felt that we actually had one of worst performances of the season against Bama on 11/5. I don't mean that we looked bad because of them... I mean we just didn't perform to our capabilities. OL was getting off the snap late with little push...Ware wasn't finishing rushes... Jefferson hadn't thrown the ball much before that game... Blown assignments on defense... I could go on.

If we play anywhere near our capabilities, Bama has absolutely no chance. And since it's been a while since we've
hit on all cylinders for 4 quarters, I think were over due for a "complete" game.

tl;dr- overlooked that we didn't play one of our better games 11/5 but still won.

Honey Badger, for instance? He had a relatively poor game by his standards, and arguably his worse as a Tiger. Give us anything close the the standard HB7, plus his punt returning that was not there on 11/5, and that is one heck of a boost in and of itself. Vegas missing on that analysis also, and are hanging on Saban's crotch with all their might, but they don't understand the might of the Tigers and how much upside we have in comparison to the 11/5 game. It was hardly our best game.

i have talked to a few people involved with the program, look for a lot of counters, cutback, and quick misdirection plays similar to the play we ran with KH against auburn. coaches feel that although bama lbs are disciplined, they are not very quick in changing directions and that we can take advantage.

i dont get fed info very much but win i do, its pretty legit, so i believe this info is pretty reliable.

I fully expect LSU to run the crossbuck to Kenny Hilliard out of the Power-I with the personnel you mentioned. They've hit it for big yardage twice this year.

If they really lighten the LBs, by the second quarter LSU will be pounding them with copeland. I doubt saban has changed the lbs very much. These guys are not fat, to loose weight means loosing muscle mass.
