But I heard alot of similar things about Quarterman too.

Eh I don't think the two situations are comparable. Hornsby's played two seasons of college basketball already (where he was pretty good BTW). I think most around here expect Hornsby to score and add a little more size on the court.

Dude's gonna ball out and be our version of Marshall Henderson without the douchebaggery.

I'm more excited about Josh Gray. I'm just hoping we're not expecting too much out of Hornsby like we did with Malcolm White.

They were both transfers in a time when we had a big void at their position.

supposedly earned the respect of the squad by how he conducted himself in practices last year.

brings some much needed size and athleticism to the perimeter, team as a unit still needs to improve a ton defensively

Malcolm White didn't do shite at Ole Miss though. Hornsby was a stud at Asheville.

Hornsby already tore stuff up at a D1 program. White didnt do much before LSU. Two totally different scenarios.

Yeah, very poor comparison. Hornsby is strong, athletic and can flat out shoot. I think the key is Gray, however and how well he can run the point not having to score as much. Could be a crazy fun year if we stay healthy

They had similar freshmen seasons. In their sophomore seasons Hornsby averaged 15 pts in the Big South, White averaged 7pts 6 rebs in the SEC.

I'm expecting Hornsby to be much more of an impact player, especially because of all the positive reports from practices. However, I am a little timid because White's performance.

We'll need Martin to pick up the outside shooting slack left by Coleman but Hornsby and Gray should also help there.

If at 6'9" Martin is content to be a below avg outside shooter once again, then I might throw up in the stands. He should be attacking from the wing relentlessly. In fact, other than Hornsby this team has no business settling for 3's and outside shots
