The injury screwed him up but people come back from that.

Did he really put the work in to come back or coast?

I think we know the answer. Does suck for him though.

BOB was all pro-LSU when they had Blue and Hilliard

Typical coach trying to give a player a kick up the arse at practice

He should have sat out like Chase. He might have been a higher draft pick

I’m actually pissed off at that fricker O’Brien with his “LSU bullshite” remark.

This quote bothers me. Hopefully it’s just because BOB was at Bama and likely knows how Boutte was at LSU, and not a reputation that we have in the league

I wouldn't read too much into the comment. Coaches use a player's school to push buttons, and reinforce the point that they're in the NFL now so it's time to grow up.

Bill Parcells was known for doing it to his younger players. Mark Ingram was a rookie from Michigan State, and Parcells said to Wellington Mara, in front of Ingram, "Ingram thinks we're playing Northwestern this week".

Jumbo Elliott was one of Parcells' "guys", but Parcells would give him shite for thinking he still played for Michigan.

Huh? Is there another Mark Ingram besides the one who played at Alabama and for the Saints, etc?

BOB is just trying to motivate KB. Get some fire out of him. These pro coaches have high opinions of athletes that come out of LSU and I’m sure he expects more out of KB.

I wouldn’t mind seeing him on the Saints practice squad.

yea. Not sure if you knew this but people can have the same name. The crazy part is those people could also be closely related, like a father and son.

There were people who wanted Chase to fail because he sat out the meaningless covid year after an all time great season

Did any of ya'll know the kid? I didn't know him as a friend but I worked with him enough to call him Kayshon. He was super dedicated to LSU even when things looked like shite. I couldn't imagine getting injured like that and I don't know who was advising him but even with the shitty seasons from LSU he was dedicated and upbeat before the injury.

I don't know how much the injury hurt his ability to play the game. I suspect it did impair his performance, although he did seem to have a few moments where he flashed ability and the coaches kept him as a starter.
What I KNOW is that his attitude was crap. He openly toyed with transferring and he plainly loafed on plays and simply went thru the motions on some of his routes. He developed alligator arms and pouted when the he didn't get enough targets.
He quit. Which sounds like what he was getting jumped for at Patriots camp.

Its amazing how "True LSU fans" praise a recruit until he joins the team.
As soon as he stumbles/gets injured and fails to recuperate on their schedule, he is a piece of crap.
When we were down and the team was struggling, Boutte gave us something to cheer about. After he was injured, he has never been the same. Although, he showed a glimpse of his former self when he shredded the Georgia defense last season.
I sure hope he makes a roster.

I don't know Kayshon. Never had the chance to meet him. I hope he becomes an all pro and plays for many years.

This is the way I interpret it. He’s trying to motivate a rookie and letting him know the NFL isn’t like college. He probably would have said “This isn’t no Georgia bullshite” if he’d been from Georgia. shite, Mac Jones is a 3rd year guy with a rep for kinda being a brat, I’m sure he’ll yell at him “This ain’t no Bama bullshite” sometime during this season, even though BOB just left there. I don’t think this is any kind of indictment of LSU or the program at all.
