The balance in their bank account should go up

You would have a 0 percent chance of attaining a ticket if other people weren't selling them

And you're bitching about it?

Really not bitching. Thought it might make a interesting post. I'll buy my tickets and go. Wish I didn't have to pay that much but I will. Love how people get so emotionally involved in these topics. Back off the roids powerman. A name like that your obviously compensating for something

Be the only scalper actually arrested this year. 3. Paypal malfunction performs withdrawal instead of deposit. 4. Their row in tiger stadium bought out by overeaters anonymous. 5. Nick Sabin starts dating their daughter.

Unless they sell to another LSU fan I vote for

6. All of the Above

have bama fans not received their ticket info yet? They have less than 20 tickets for sale in the bama sections.

There is a reason it's called scalping. It's illegal.

I thought that they got their ticket info last week or early this week.

Maybe they're more interested in supporting their team than trying to make a fast buck.

It's illegal douchebag.

1. It says right on the back of the ticket. "The resale or attempted resale of the ticket at a higher price than authorized by La. r.S. 4:1§1 may be grounds for seizure and cancellation of this ticket without compensation."

2. Louisiana statute says a ticket can be resold under limited conditions:
quote:

Louisiana: 1.Prohibits ticket scalping except through the Internet 2.Allows tickets sold through an Internet website that meets the following criteria to resell tickets without price limits a)Website must be authorized by original seller and venue b)Must guarantee full refund if the event is cancelled, the purchaser is denied admission through no fault of his own, or the ticket is not delivered as promised and this results in an inability to attend the event c)Website must disclose its guarantees (La. Rev. Stat. § 4:1)

I am not selling my tickets, but you need to understand why someone would.

Those of us who pay $900+ per seat in TAF/Tradition Fund fees EACH YEAR, as well as $300 for parking passes...ALL PRIOR TO PAYING FOR THE TICKETS, have to at least think about selling their $300 face value tickets for $1700+. That would mean being able to pay for the next years TAF fees, which alone will be $2100 (assuming they are not increased, that is, which is probably a bad assumption since all the coaches just got raises), with the $2800 in net profits one would get from selling their seats, is a sensible thing to consider.

If you do not make such contributions, NOT with any assistance from a corporation or work-business, then you cannot comprehend the consideration one might give to this option.

So, it is not as simple as you make it out to be, partner. It just is not.

The money is tempting. I'm on the demand side of this so that's where I'm coming from. I do pay taf fees on four tickets and $280 to park. I went to Dallas, and I went to the sec championship and I will pay to get in this game. Stay calm and chive on!

Upon further review...... Rocketscientist. Why after all the financial investment, the rent a win snoozers, 11:00 games, and not one night game would someone sell the grand prize! We've never seen a more dominating lsu team. To sell the finale can only be the act of someone who doesn't appreciate it or is of weak character. I have too many lsu friends that I would rather share this with at cost than to make a buck and sit next to some stranger. Geaux f'in tigers!

oh i definitely believe in karma and what goes around comes around and all that stuff, just not with tickets, or other trivial matters.

That's the thing about karma---we don't get to decide what's trivial or not.

As far as LSU fans reselling tickets they purchased, obviously its their right. But I agree it just doesn't feel right that tickets that are face valued at $350 can only become available to a great deal of those of us that are loyal season ticket holders and life long devoted fans for $1500+. I'll pay it because I have the means, but it's still a ridiculous about to have to pay for a football game--even this one.

By the way, I sold two extra tickets to the Oregon game to an LSU student for less than half of the going market at the time--I got my money back and a bit more and I felt cool about it. Made a deposit to my karma bank. For some of us, its not always about the cash--just saying.

And to the rant---- save the caustic comments, I couldn't care less.

I get this---I pay the fees you mention here every year. But I do so because I want season tickets--not with an eye on "making my money back" by marking up my tickets for a ridiculous price for a game like this. I can make the money up elsewhere if need be--just doesn't feel right making a killing off of people that just want to see LSU in the big game. I suppose it's a personal choice.
