6. They get blackout drunk during the game and wake up with an Alabama tattoo on their face.

LMAO at you thinking selling tickets will get you bad karma

if they would rather make a few bucks (or alotta bucks) and watch the game somewhere else, more power to them. I'm not going to begrudge someone making some money LEGALLY when it's not morally wrong either. Maybe they would rather use the money someway else during the holidays?

lighten up frances... I posted it for fun. I choose not to pay TAF any more than necessary so now I will have to pay market. I know a guy named earl who said he didn't believe in Karma and nothing but bad things happened after that.

I know (someone who thinks they are or pretends to be) a diehard LSU fan who sells their tickets. They always sell them to a LSU fan and make a BIG profit!!! I wish I had them to sell!

Does anyone else believe that the tickets belong to the University? That you purchase the right to go to the game? That the University's intention is not for you to resell them?

If I pay for them, they are mine. I could care less about the University's intention. That's like saying that Nintendo DS belongs to Nintendo and you just purchased the right to play it, but you can't sell it on ebay.

Ridiculous.

Not illegal in Louisiana unless it is one the grounds of the venue. Other than that, sky is the limit..

They should be rewarded for allowing the economic principles regarding supply and demand to work.

I have been a scalpee on several occasions. I have been a scalper only once.

In all of those occasions, I felt very good about the transaction, as I was either

1. getting to determine how I spent my hard earned money, or

2. getting a nice rate of return on hard earned money that I had already invested.

I respect your avatar and opinion. It's not like a Nintendo. Nintendo DS is a physical product; you can use it for awhile and sell it used. They can make more DSs; they cannot make more National Championship tickets. Nintendo is a private company; LSU is a public university. LSU football means a great deal to many people; it's a history and a tradition. If you grew up in Louisiana, or went to LSU, or your parents, etc, it's something very special. It's a privilige to see Tigerfootball. If you want to sell your tickets on ebay after the game, I respect that. If you disagree with me, I respect that. But it's not like a DS, and my opinion is shared by many.

I'm not against scalping. Just refering to the tickets distributed by LSU. Wish they went to season ticket holders who want to go to the game and enjoy our national championship in person. Was there in 03 and 07 and it is awesome. Didn't get tickets then and didn't expect them this year. My TAF fees on four season tickets is alot for my budget, but I'm a small fish in the TAF pond.

It is the nature of the beast. Some gumps at my second job are selling their tickets for 2k a piece and they only have 1400 in them.

ITs financial decision in many many ways and for many reasons.

If you had 2 tickets to the game and someone wanted to pay you $3500 each! you would be a fool not to listen IF you were in a situation that you needed it or couldn't attend yourself or something along those lines.

Four of my Saints tix a couple years ago paid for the playoff package for all my tix(Super Bowl Year) just by selling those to a company that had a couple of huge clients from Dallas. It didn't make sense not to take the $1000+ money! Plus, I had a prior engagement...it was a night game.

So, there are lots of reasons that might cause someone to go that route. USUALLY, someone really high up in the TAF is not doing it just to make a few $$$, they tend to already be ok on cash

Of course, there are always some bad apples..so to them KARAM is a bitch!
