I know a guy that used to do it. Said he had got bowl rings and some of the gifts that the players got as well. His son is the head equipment guy or some position like that at Bama now.

THIS! You have to also watch out in Livonia as well. Several speed traps along that route.
frick the town of Washington too. They sit right in the other side of a hill right before you get to oppy and will give you a ticket for 1 over.

Its about the same time wise. Cuts over 15 miles. I like it better for the scenic value. Some people hate that way. To each his own.
I will say if they are harvesting cane it can get a little aggravating
