We lost. It happens. But lsu is still a great program. You want to harp on it, go ahead. But it's senseless.

I only harped because you said "wins are the ONLY thing that matters"

I did. Lsu wins at an elite level. That was a loss in the title game. Still a great year.

Are you really trying to argue LSU had a great offense last year? I mean...REALLY?

You think 2011 LSU offense wasn't good? You're stupid. Our offense was shut down by one team all year and one half in the SECCG. The only defense to slow is down were both top 5 defenses. So yes 2011 offense was good.
Also my rankings were for passing and rushing TDs only. No special teams or defensive TDs were used. So yeah you're wrong.

If you're to ignorant to understand that Saban was building a program and that building something takes time then you need not post anymore. You're not a coach you're a worthless fan who only looks at W's and L's by a coach's name to compare success. You have no intellect to fathom or understand that Saban built something from the ground floor up. His building project including not only win's and losses but recruiting, relationships, 10's of millions of dollars in new facilities and creating a culture and identity to an establishment.

Bama fan?

Couldn't be further from the truth. I'm an LSU fan and always will be. I think the average age of a poster on TigerDroppings has to be somewhere between 16-18

I dont see where anyone is saying LSU's program sucks or is dying.

I think everyone can agree that the offense is awful and has been since 07'

Yes i know or team is built around a DEF and a run game which i like actually.

Miles has a history of inconsistant play. His teams are nortorious for playing down to teams. ( Towson, La Tech, idaho, etc) and has a bad habit of playing not to lose, rather than playing to win.( Tenn on monday night comes to mind) Those things are coaching problems. Not getting a team ready for bowl games is a coaching problem. ( NC and chicken bowl)

Making stupid decisions throught his career has been a problem here at LSU. ( OLE MISS, TENN, PENN ST, CLLEMSON games to name a few).

Now has he won a lot of games- Hell yea and im grateful

Has he lost games that they should have won- OF COURSE

Has he won games that he should have lost- YES

Miles inherited a 4 loss LSU team. Or have you forgotten 04? In the early 200's LSU was not perennial top 10 team. We are now. DWI

This does not equal rebuilding a team from the ground up, and lobbying to get athletic and academic facilities built to put this program on the next level.

When Miles took over LSU the program it was a Ferrari.

kinda what i was thinking only Miles tends to grind the gears when shifting from time to time and add some curb rashes to the rims. Like Miles here, but i expect more from him. If he doesn't tighten things up LSU will get passed by. The conference is getting tougher. 10 wins is great but if you don't beat BAMA you don't even get to the conference championship. But but but all Miles does is win...while another team wins a NC.

What was Miles' record the year following his NC in 2007? 8-5...

That wasn't the question or the point. You think you're winning an argument by changing talking point. The posters said Saban lost 4 games in 04 because of losing his players. Miles has lost back to back Bednarik and Thorpe winners and won ten games while losing 8 starters after the spring game.

I'm using just passing and rushing TDs. 2011 LSU was # 2 ALLTIME at LSU. When using just passing and rushing TD totals( NO DEFENSIVE OR SPECIAL TEAM's TDs)

What you need ask your self is what was the average starting field position for that offense. You see when a team gets to go only 40 yards for a TD, it's easier than having to go 80! Fact!

It was a great year. Miles found a way to get there and he found a way to ruin it.

Meanwhile Saban loses his entire starting defense from 2011 and now is one win away from back to back national championships.

Well, coaches don't usually get fired for doing well. Saban replaced a fired coach. The program was in a shambles and he made the administration build elite facilities that are a fantastic recruiting tool. So, he really did have quite a full plate as opposed to Miles inheriting a team that was 2 years removed from a national title.
