Shows you how pathetic LSU's football program is historically relative to offensive greatness when 2011 is considered one of the greatest years of offense in LSU history.

Really? Bruh we scored at will against teams. We are taking mercy knees AGAINST THE # 3 team in the country. We curbstomped the PAC 12 champ at a neutral site and arse rapes the big east champ at their house. Yeah our offense was putrid.im our last game of the regular season , JJ OUTRUSHED ARKY's entire team with one carry and had a good day passing. If you weren't happy with LSU's 2011 offense, YOU WILL NEVER BE. we are a power run team first and foremost.

That's a pretty pitiful viewpoint to have that if lsu didn't hire Saban, then the program wouldn't be successful. You truly think Saban is the only coach that could turn the program around? That says a lot more about you and your unreal Saban love.

in the history of the SEC , of all the coaches that have coached 100 games, LES MILES HAS THE HIGHEST WINNING % of all of them.
Better than SABAN, BEAR , NEYLAND, SPURRIER

Nice stat. Miles is sitting on 80% in 8 years in the SEC, Saban is sitting on 79% in 12 years in the SEC.

Just for kicks, in the last 6 years since Saban went to Alabama his winning percentage is 82% and Miles is 78%

Thanks for pointing out that miles and Saban have great win percentages.

Actually I destroyed your point. You said Dinardo was rebuilding when he hired Tepper. Being #6 in the country is not rebuilding. Inheriting a program that had won 7 games combined the previous 2 years before you got there is what is called "Rebuilding"

Haha as if that graph shows anything.

Here are facts:
In the 8 years Leslie Miles has been LSU's coach the LSU football team has;
1.WON MORE GAMES THAN ANY SEC TEAM
2. Only 3 teams out of 119 teams have won more overall games.
3. Win the SEC west( the hardest division in all of CFB) 3 times
4. Won the SEC ( the hardest conf in all of CFB)
5. Has an amazing OOC RECORD OF 39-2 ( with BLOWOUT WINS AGAINST Ohio state, Miami, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Va tech(conf champ),Oregon( conf champ), west va( conf champ), Arizona, Washington )
6.Has a top 3 graduation rate.
7. Back to back Bednarik and Thorpe award winners. NEVER BEEN DONE
8. Won 10 games 6 out of 8 years. NEVER BEN DONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE SEC, let alone at LSU
9. won 11 games 5 out of 8 years.
PERIOD. POINT BLANK.

THIS IS AN OPINION:
1. Les miles doesn't know as much football as Saban's hair follicles.
2. Les miles is leading LSU to mediocrity by winning 10 games a year in the hardest division in the hardest conference.
3. Miles is an idiot. When his players do well it's all talent. When they screw up , IT'S THAT IGNORANT COACH

Emmert was a key as was the TAF putting up the funds we needed.

That's pure speculation.

Miles has had as much an impact on LSU success in his 8 yrs as Nick had in his 5.

If you don't understand how hard it is to maintain a program once it becomes highly successful, then you need to look in the mirror if you truly want to see a "ignorant, dumb arse human being".

You have to be a Bama troll, right?

I know it is funny stuff isn't it Choctaw?

It's the same crap everyone else says about the new coach. They said it about Miles winning with Saban's players. They said it about Saban winning with Shula's players. They said it about Saban winning with Dinardo's players when LSU was sitting at 5-3 after the Ole Miss loss in 2001 and the idiotic LSU fan base saying Saban was a terrible coach. They said Meyer won with Zook's players at UF, and on and on and on.

I wouldn't call a 13 point win over Oregon a curb stomp. That game wasn't decided until midway into the 4th quarter.

In the last 5 years (assuming Bama wins)

Saban: 90% winning with 3 national titles
Miles: 77% winning with 0 national titles

In that span Saban wins the head to head 4-2

So can the comparison stop, there really isn't one there

it does actually, your inability to understand it, however, IS meaningless. It is a true mathematical relationship based on the entirety of FBS.

I'm sorry if the reality of the situation bothers you. The reality is the facts you list PROVE that the players on both sides of the ball outplay their handicap of coaching on offense.

The secrets out Choctaw = Kathy Miles. All this argument about Saban vs. Miles is boring.- There is no question that Saban is a better and more respected Coach that Miles. Ask every Collegiate and NFL program who they would prefer as their head Coach. It's a mute point. Miles is our coach like it or not. No Question--He needs to improve his coaching of the offense. The man even admitted it himself when he said "WE need to improve on ofense" He has said this several times in the past. Can he do this?--Not if he continues to make the same stubborn decisions he has in the past. I seriously doubt it. I don't think he can change but I'm hopeful.

No actually I'm a huge fan of LSU. I hate Alabama. I'm just not a supporter of what Les Miles does on offense. I know LSU can do much better with a true OC and with Miles hands completely off what LSU does offensively.

Lucky for LSU, Miles has been here 8 yrs.

It's amusing how some want to take away years of wins, success in order to diminish the Miles success.

LSU nor Les is to blame cause Nick took years away for the college game to try a failed pro HC career.

Man, you guys love you some Nick, huh.

Too bad he didn't love you back.

I start at 5 years because Saban was kicking his best players off the team and rebuilding his system in Bama in year 1, as evidenced by the results. In other words, he was rebuilding a third college program.

I take nothing away from Miles in 2007. He did well and I'm also not one of those "he backed into the NC" guys. Sure it was a fluke year, but we were clearly the best team that season.

My point is that Saban's return has basically relegated us to eating the crumbs at his table with Miles getting us to the 10 win feel good finish line every season.

Only in a spoiled/entitled world can 85-21, 49-19 in 8 yrs with 3 west titles, 2 SEC titles, and 2 BCSCGs can be seen a "crumbs."

If you're to ignorant to understand that Saban was building a program and that building something takes time then you need not post anymore. You're not a coach you're a worthless fan who only looks at W's and L's by a coach's name to compare success. You have no intellect to fathom or understand that Saban built something from the ground floor up. His building project including not only win's and losses but recruiting, relationships, 10's of millions of dollars in new facilities and creating a culture and identity to an establishment.

It's common knowledge that sustaining a powerhouse program is harder than building one. Period.
